The 20 th report points out that the harmonious coexistence of human and nature is one of the connotations of "Chinese modernization",and that excessive involvement of human activities can lead to conflicts between environmental protection and economic development in tourist attractions, which not only affects the regional image of tourist destinations, but also brings hidden dangers to the sustainable development of local economy.Since the twentieth century, the environmental damage caused by the intensification of human activities has become more and more serious, and the sustainable development of tourist attractions is under great threat. As a purely natural scenic area, the Jiuzhaigou ecosystem is extremely fragile, and only by balancing the relationship between economy and ecology can sustainable development be achieved.Carbon emission is a key tool to measure the impact of human activities on the environment, which can reflect the environmental quality of tourism scenic spots more accurately.Analysis of carbon emission measurement results can provide new paths for the synergistic development of ecology and economy in scenic spots. Therefore, this paper focuses on finding out the key path of low-carbon construction in Jiuzhaigou scenic area through carbon emission measurement and proposes targeted carbon emission reduction measures. The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly, this paper takes the concept of low carbon development as the leader, and uses the LCA method to build a tourism carbon emission measurement model for Jiuzhaigou scenic area from four main tourism links, namely, catering, transportation, accommodation and waste disposal.Secondly, after collecting and organizing the carbon emission data, the carbon emission of each tourism link and the total tourism carbon emission of Jiuzhaigou scenic area were measured. The results show that(1)the total annual tourism carbon emissions in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area are very large, amounting to 496,625.675 t,and from the sources of carbon emissions, mainly transportation and waste disposal carbon emissions are the main sources, accounting for 53% and 32.17% of the total emissions.(2)In catering activities, energy consumption carbon emission is the main source, accounting for 98.94%;in transportation, carbon emission from outside the scenic spot is higher, accounting for 64.80%;in accommodation, carbon emission from commercial accommodation is higher, accounting for 80.46%;in waste treatment, carbon emission from sewage treatment is larger, accounting for 67.13%.(3)In Jiuzhaigou scenic area activities, the main carbon emissions come from tourist activities, especially the transportation link, and most of the carbon emissions are generated by tourists on their way from the source to the tourist destination.(4)Through the changes in the number of people flow and food and accommodation sites in the scenic area in the past five years,it is predicted that the carbon emissions in the scenic area will continue to increase in the future. It can be seen that the development of low-carbon tourism and the control of scenic carbon emissions are crucial to Jiuzhaigou scenic area. Finally,in order to realize the sustainable development of Jiuzhaigou scenic area, this paper proposes emission reduction measures from two perspectives: policy and scenic area itself, and discusses the low-carbon transformation methods of Jiuzhaigou scenic area based on value reconstruction and scene shaping. On the one hand, this paper helps to improve the theory related to low-carbon tourism, and on the other hand,it provides ideas for the development of low-carbon tourism in Jiuzhaigou scenic area, and also provides case studies for the sustainable development of other scenic areas.
