| The contradiction between economic development and biocapacity has become increasingly prominent. The Chinese government has put forward the development road of " a green,low-carbon and circular economy".Green innovation considers both technological progress and positive environmental benefits. It is an important opportunity for heavy polluting enterprises to remove the stereotyped label of "high consumption, high pollution and high emission",and a key support for achieving green transformation as well as achieving the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. However, there is a serious lack of internal driving force for the green innovation R&D activities of heavy polluting enterprises. Can digital technology successfully enable green innovation mode and provide effective support for the optimization of enterprises’ environmental governance system and governance capacity modernization? In view of this,it is particularly important to use a variety of methods to reveal the impact mechanism and economic consequences of the digital transformation on green innovation. To solve the above problems, based on the research background of the collaborative construction of digital China and beautiful China, this thesis reviews the literature related to digital transformation, green innovation and enterprise value, and proposes research hypotheses based on resource-based theory, dynamic capabilities theory, externality theory and technological innovation theory. In this thesis,Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share heavily polluting enterprises from 2010 to 2020 are selected as the research samples, and empirical test is conducted by combining the unexpected SBM model and nonlinear regression model.First of all, from the perspective of whether digital empowerment is effective, this thesis comprehensively examines the impact of digital transformation on the quantity, quality and efficiency of green innovation of heavy polluting enterprises, and further explores the impact of heterogeneity from the perspectives of regulatory pressure and normative pressure.Secondly, this thesis explores the influencing mechanism between digital transformation and green innovation from the perspective of the mediating effect of enterprise control input and the regulating effect of government subsidies. Finally, the thesis examines the direct impact of digital transformation and green innovation on enterprise value and explores the transmission mechanism between digital transformation and enterprise value from the perspective of mediating effect of green innovation. This thesis finds that:(1)there is a significant inverted U-shaped relationship between digital transformation and green innovation, and the sample enterprises are widely distributed in the left branch of the inverted U-shaped curve;(2)Higher regulatory and normative pressure will help strengthen the enabling effect of digital transformation on green innovation;(3)Management input plays an intermediary role between digitalization and enterprise green innovation;(4)Government subsidies can significantly strengthen the inverted U-shaped relationship between digital transformation and enterprise green innovation quantity and quality;(5)There is a significant inverted U-shaped relationship between digital transformation and enterprise value;(6)Green innovation activities contribute to enterprise value creation;(7)Green innovation plays an intermediary role between digital transformation and enterprise value. In general, from the perspective of whether digital empowerment is effective, combined with the multi-dimensional measurement of enterprise green innovation, this thesis reveals the two-way effect of digital transformation on enterprise green innovation and economic consequences. This thesis provides micro-experience support and policy enlightenment for identifying the focus point of digital technology enabling ecological environmental protection and strengthening environmental governance and sustainable development of heavy polluting enterprises. This thesis includes 11 figures,22 tables and 153 references. |
