| With the increase in cultural inclusiveness,as well as the ease of cultural promotion and dissemination in the Internet era and its enormous influence, many niche cultures have begun to break out of the circle, appearing in the public eye and gaining popularity. In recent years, modern Hanfu,as a product of combining traditional cultural symbols and fashion elements, has been gaining more and more attention and popularity. The cultural phenomenon represented by Hanfu culture has seen an explosive phase of development and has received widespread attention from all walks of life.In this context, although the unique modern Hanfu can showcase one’s unique aesthetic interests,it has not been able to become a universally accepted clothing system due to its complicated production process, overly individualised style and restricted wearing scenarios. In response to these problems, the subject introduces a Kansei engineering approach to the stylistic design of modern Hanfu.Kansei engineering is a common approach in design research in recent years, and is centred on transforming the perceptual intentions of ’people’into the design characteristics of ’things’.The research process uses a variety of methods such as literature review, questionnaire research, data analysis, intentional scaling and class category analysis.Firstly, the paper provides an overview of the theories related to modern Hanfu and Kansei engineering, collating the definition, origin and development, and design process of Kansei engineering;sorting out the concept of Hanfu, the concept of modern Hanfu, and the construction of the system;giving an initial overview of modern Hanfu styles according to the classification of Qin-Han system,Wei-Jin-North and South Dynasties system,Tang system,Song system, and Ming system, and as the subsequent research progresses, successively excluding The Qin-Han system and the Wei-Jin-North and South Dynasties system were excluded.Next, the design elements of modern Hanfu are analysed and extracted from four aspects:style, colour, fabric and pattern. In terms of style,we analysed its classification and matching styles, and extracted the silhouette, collar type and sleeve type;in terms of colour,we analysed the traditional colour and the five-colour system, and the modern colour and colour system, and extracted the general tonal range of the four form styles;in terms of fabric,we analysed the material classification, and extracted the four types of fabric at the visual level;in terms of pattern,we analysed and extracted the content of five types of subject matter and eight expression techniques.Furthermore, experiments were carried out on the application of Kansei engineering to modern Hanfu.Through brand research and data collection,a representative sample of modern Hanfu was selected and a vocabulary of perceptual intentions was selected;the questionnaire data was analysed and the scale of intentions was mapped;the design elements and technical characteristics of the perceptual intentions of modern Hanfu were deduced using class category analysis. Finally, based on the experimental findings of the perceptual intentions, the modern Hanfu styles were reclassified in terms of style, colour, fabric and pattern, with the styles being modified and slimming styles;the colours being neutral colours;the fabrics being textured styles;and the patterns being simple and creative styles. The design principles and strategies are proposed according to the new style classification, and the design practice is carried out;the final designs are evaluated, thus verifying the feasibility of the design strategies. This provides a reference for the construction of modern Hanfu design theories as well as style systems, and broadens the path for the innovative design of modern Hanfu, which is conducive to the inheritance and development of traditional culture. |
