Under the current background of intensified agricultural resource constraints, ecosystem degradation and severe agricultural development environment, the traditional extensive agricultural production mode has threatened the quality and safety of agricultural products and the agricultural ecological environment from the source. The non-point source pollution caused will not only affect the rural natural resources and natural environment, but also lead to a series of agricultural product quality problems, directly causing damage to the health of the public. It will also restrict the transformation of green production and the sustainable development of agriculture, which is not conducive to the realization of agricultural and rural modernization.Agricultural green development has become a strategic choice for the transformation and upgrading of agricultural development in the new era.Transforming agricultural development mode and promoting agricultural green production have become an important path for the protection and governance of rural ecological environment. It is also a major measure to promote the green and sustainable development of agriculture and promote the carbon peak in the agricultural field in the new era. Therefore, how to change the agricultural production mode and realize the sustainable development of agriculture is an important issue to be considered at present. In the existing research, scholars have made great progress in the field of green production behavior, which has laid a good theoretical foundation for further research. However, most of the existing studies have discussed a single green production behavior of agricultural producers, such as the comprehensive utilization of straw, the resource treatment of livestock manure, the use of organic fertilizer and biological pesticides, and the recycling behavior of agricultural film.Few studies have comprehensively considered the green production behavior of agricultural producers as a whole concept, and it is difficult to draw a universal green production behavior mechanism. Therefore, based on the existing achievements and the micro-data of 705 agricultural producers in Jiangsu Province, the research is based on the theory of protection motivation, and the theory of "attitude-behaviorcontent",and comprehensively uses the structural equation model,multi-group analysis and other research methods to analyze the current development status and existing problems of agricultural green production, and explore the mechanism of green production behavior of producers based on environmental risk perception, clarify the impact path and degree of environmental risk perception on green production behavior of producers in different dimensions, and introduce situational factors of demographic characteristics, individual implementation costs and different production entities to investigate the promotion or inhibition of various situational factors on green production behavior of producers,in order to reduce agricultural non-point source pollution promote the transformation of agricultural green development and help the agricultural sector reach the carbon peak. The research results show that the current level of agricultural green development has steadily improved, but there are still problems such as low awareness of agricultural green production by producers, low satisfaction with agricultural green subsidies, and the need to strengthen the publicity of green production-related policies. The research divides environmental risk perception into four dimensions: fact perception, cause perception, loss perception and reaction behavior perception, and different dimensions of environmental perception risk have different impact mechanisms on green production behavior of producers. They have direct impact on green production behavior, and can also have indirect impact on green production behavior through the intermediary role of environmental emotion and sense of responsibility.Demographic characteristics, individual implementation costs, and different production entities can all play a regulatory role in the impact path of environmental risk perception on green production behavior. For demographic characteristics,middle-aged and elderly producers, male producers, producers with high education level, producers with high household annual income, producers with high proportion of agricultural annual income in household annual income and producers who join agricultural production cooperatives are more inclined to implement green production behavior. For individual implementation costs, producers who are accustomed to green lifestyle, those who think green production is less troublesome, those who use agricultural production to meet family needs and those who own land ownership are more inclined to implement green production behavior. For different production entities, pure farmers prefer to carry out agricultural green production. In response, some countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.Firstly, broaden the channels for promoting green production and stimulate producers’ environmental emotions and sense of responsibility.Besides, improve agricultural training methods, strengthen the promotion and use of new technologies, develop specialized farmers’ cooperatives, and explore socialized service models for green production. In addition, strengthen the coordination and supervision capacity of grassroots cadres, promote the construction of a diversified regulatory governance system, improve green agricultural laws and regulations, and improve the compensation mechanism for green production. Finally, strengthen the construction of green agricultural product markets and establish a green agricultural product price realization mechanism.
