With the development of social era,the material consumption level of people is improving incredibly.The demand of consumers for products tends to be multi-dimensional and dynamic.Not only do they expect to achieve basic functions and aesthetic modeling,but also to create good experience and satisfy their emotions.The emotional appeals of consumers to products are affected by its multi-dimensional attributes,such as the shape,color,material and correlation of products etc.Thus,the product design can express the emotional demands of consumers more accurately and comprehensively from the aspect of the overall product and multi-dimension.Multi-dimensional Kansei engineering is a quantitative study with the characteristics of Kansei engineering.By clarifying the relevant theories of multi-dimensional Kansei engineering research,this paper takes preschoolers’ balance bike as the research object and explores its product design research between the emotional needs of users and multi-dimensional KE model based on the design process of multidimensional KE model.This paper takes preschoolers of target users as the start point and preschoolers’ balance bike as the research object in order to focus on the product design research between multi-dimensional KE model and the emotional needs of users.The content of research is mainly divided into three phases.The first phase is to concentrate on the user study of preschoolers.Based on the existing research,the author is about to sort out the physical and mental characteristics of the development of preschoolers,and to obtain the emotional needs of users by combining the methods of user observation,interview and questionnaire and so forth.Eventually,the author will summarize the emotional needs of users in product modeling features,functional experience and emotional feelings.In the second phase,based on the design process and method of multi-dimensional Kansei engineering,the author is to construct the multi-dimensional KE model between the product’s multi-dimensional design features and perceptual image.Through the collection of online comments and selection of perceptual image words that can express the needs of users,the author is to obtain representative experimental samples via using the methods of multi-dimensional scale,cluster analysis and other statistical analysis.Then,the global HIEs deconstructing method is adopted to deconstruct the design characteristics of the product from the main body,single line and related characteristics of the product,and construct the multi-dimensional design feature space including product shape,color,material,texture,correlation and other characteristic factors.Finally,the method of multiple regression analysis is used to construct the relationship model between perceptual image and multi-dimensional design features.The third phase is the conclusion part on the basis of the first and second phase.It aims to put forward the product design strategy of preschoolers’ balance bike between the the emotional needs of users and the multi-dimensional KE model so as to guide its practice of product design.At the end,the design method of products proposed in this paper is of practical value through verification and evaluation of the design scheme.In this paper,the design strategy of balance bike products for preschoolers is constructed from three dimensions,namely,modeling features,functional experience and emotional feelings based on the multi-dimensional perceptual research among the perceptual needs of users,multidimensional design features and perceptual images.The product design practice is carried out and the practical value of the design method is verified.At last,the product design method proposed in this paper is feasible and optimized according to the verification results,which provides references for later scholars to explore the research on multi-dimensional Kansei engineering and product design.
