Innovative Application Of Chu Pattern In Modern Clothing Design

Chu grain pattern,as one of the representatives of traditional chinese grain pattern,has a long history of civilization and national spirit in its colorful artistic language and vivid expression,which makes it have a very high research value.Chu culture is a kind of regional culture that thrives in the Hanshui area of Yangtze River in China.At present,our understanding of Chu culture usually regards it as a complex of various material and spiritual cultures deposited in Chu area through the dynastic period,and it is an indispensable and important part of Chinese civilization.Among them,as a design element with deep historical and cultural background,"Chu grain pattern" is also used more and more widely in clothing.With the development of "chinese style",the combination of chu pattern and modern clothing design will not only be beneficial to the heritage of chinese traditional culture,but also provide a broad space for the new development of clothing design.This paper discusses the application of traditional Chu patterns in modern clothing design,taking the elements,artistic modeling and cultural connotation of Chu patterns as the starting point.This subject will be mainly studied from the following five aspects.The first part is to understand the background of Chu grain pattern research and to clarify the focus and significance of this research.The second part is to understand the origin of Chu culture through historical documents.The third part mainly clarifies the definition of Chu grain pattern,understands the historical background and development of Chu grain pattern,probes into the theme and constituent elements of Chu grain pattern,including its main structure and form,understands the basic features and artistic essence of Chu grain pattern,and interprets its cultural connotation.In the course of collecting and collating graphic and literal data,this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the manifestation and application of Chu pattern in modern clothing design,and summarizes three innovative ways of Chu pattern in modern ready-to-wear design.First of all,in order to enhance the flexibility of Chu grain pattern,we can design Chu grain pattern and modern art design to create works with a sense of the times and national character.Specifically,we can generalize and exaggerate the distortion of Chu patterns,and then decompose and recombine them to achieve better artistic effect.At the same time,according to different period and regional cultural characteristics to adjust the Chu pattern in the application of proportion or layout form,so that it is in line with the modern aesthetic.Secondly,in order to meet the trend of modern aesthetics,we need to adjust and improve the color combination of patterns.Adding colors or materials with decorative effects to the design enhances the influence and expressiveness of Chu culture.Using modern design techniques and techniques,Chu patterns will be incorporated to highlight the flavor of the times.The fourth is to use different materials and structures to enhance the decorative effect and make it have a new cultural connotation.In the process of practical application,the fifth part plays a vital role.This paper mainly introduces the application of Chu culture in contemporary clothing.Based on a deep understanding of the unique features and artistic expression of traditional Chu patterns,we have carried out a series of design practices of Chu patterns by inductive deformation,exaggeration and changing colors to suit modern aesthetics.
