While urbanization has achieved a great deal,it has also reduced agricultural acreage and put pressure on the environment.A massive influx of people and production,a steep reduction in available living space,and an increase in resource demand as a result of the promotion of new urbanization have all contributed to resource overuse in the area.It is possible to effectively promote the improvement of ecological environment quality by fully considering ecological carrying capacity and switching from end-of-pipe treatment to ecological civilization construction.At the same time,the benign and sustainable development of ecological environment will also promote the steady development of new urbanization in order to achieve the development goals of peaceful coexistence of species.This study builds new urbanization evaluation indexes,determines the comprehensive development status of new urbanization in Shaanxi Province,and uses ten cities in the province as research objects;Builds an ecological environment quality index using the Google Earth Engine cloud computing platform,analyzes the ecological environment quality’s development level,and uses a coupled coordination model to examine the level of new urbanization and ecological environment quality in Shaanxi Province from 2010 to 2020.Arcgis software is used for the spatial visualization analysis to examine the geomorphological characteristics of Shaanxi Province,specifically the Loess Plateau in the north,the Guanzhong Plain,and the Qinba Mountainous Area in the south,as well as the benefits and drawbacks of 10 cities in their individual development processes.Accordingly,the factors influencing the degree of coupling and coordination between new urbanization and ecological environment quality are investigated,and the following are the main research conclusions:(1)The comprehensive development level of new urbanization in Shaanxi Province from 2010 to 2020 shows a fluctuating and increasing trend,mainly going through three development stages,with 2010-2012 and 2016-2020 being the period of rapid rise,2012-2015 being the period of slow improvement,and the development level of subsystems in each city varying significantly,with the Guanzhong Plain region developing faster than the northern and southern Shaanxi regions.(2)The ecological environment quality in Shaanxi Province exhibits a cyclical growth pattern of "lowering-improving-lowering-improving." There is also a clear spatial heterogeneity in the ecological environment quality,with the southern Shaanxi region outperforming the Guanzhong region and the northern Shaanxi region.Finally,there is a greater area of ecological environment improvement than there is for environmental(3)degradation.The area with an unaltered ecological environment makes up the majority of the total area,and the area where the ecological status has improved over time is greater than the area where it has declined.(4)The two systems’ coupling coordination level exhibits a development pattern that goes from "basic uncoordinated" to "basic coordinated" to "moderately coordinated." The distribution pattern of the coupled and coordinated development status of new urbanization and ecological environment quality varies significantly among cities in Shaanxi Province,and the coupled and coordinated level in the Guanzhong Plain area improves faster.The relative development status demonstrates that "new urbanization lags behind-synchronous development-ecological environment lags behind."(5)urban-rural integration and economic development status become the factors that have a stronger influence on the coupling and coordination degree of new urbanization and ecological environment in Shaanxi Province;northern Shaanxi Province has the same situation as Shaanxi Province as a whole,Guanzhong Region is mainly influenced by the population distribution and industrial structure layout,and agricultural modernization and economic development become the main influencing factors in southern Shaanxi Province;urban-rural integration level,economic development status and industrial structure layout factors The level of urban-rural integration,economic development status and industrial structure layout factors are more influential after interaction and jointly affect the changes of coupling and coordination degree of new urbanization and ecological environment quality in Shaanxi Province.
