With the continuous development of society,the problem of water pollution has become increasingly serious.In this study,phosphorus and chromium were selected as pollution control objects.In this study,an efficient adsorbent was synthesized by using iron with low cost and easily available raw materials and sponge with 3D porous structure as raw materials,which was used to remove phosphorus and chromium from sewage.In this study,the mechanical strength of iron oxide nanoparticles is improved,and the loading environment of iron oxide is gradually improved,so that the materials can meet a wider range of applications.Firstly,Fe OOH was successfully loaded on the surface of powdered melamine sponge,and an efficient phosphorus remover Fe OOH @ MS was prepared.It was characterized by a series of means.When the ratio of iron to sponge is 5: 1,the adsorbent has the best adsorption effect,and the maximum adsorption capacity is 115.5 mg P/g.Fe OOH @ MS has physical adsorption of phosphate with electrostatic attraction and chemical adsorption of inner spherical complex.In the packed column experiment,the phosphorus removal capacity of Fe OOH @ MS reached 11.3 mg P/g when the running time was 41 h,and the treated water volume of the packed column was 1201 bed volumes.Secondly,carboxymethyl cellulose was introduced into the surface of melamine sponge to anchor iron ions in the solution,so that the synthesized iron hydroxide particles could be easily fixed on the bulk melamine sponge.The morphology of melamine sponge was characterized,and the adsorption behavior of melamine sponge to phosphate under different conditions was studied and the adsorption mechanism was expounded.Electrostatic adsorption and ligand exchange in inner sphere are the adsorption mechanisms of phosphate radical.It can treat wastewater from 4 mg P/L to 0.5 mg P/L in a very short time,and has the ability to treat trace phosphorus in water.Finally,a new chromium removal agent(PU @ Fe OOH)was synthesized from polyurethane sponge and characterized by a series of characterization methods.In addition,the effects of adsorption time,chromium concentration,p H and coexisting anion concentration on the adsorption of the adsorbent are also discussed.The adsorbent has a very fast adsorption rate of 0.283 g/(mg · min)for chromate,which is 12.86 times of the adsorption rate of Fe OOH prepared under the same conditions(0.022 g/mg · min).The maximum adsorption capacity was 34.9 mg Cr/g,and electrostatic adsorption was the main adsorption mechanism.It could reduce the chromium content in industrial wastewater from9.76 mg/L to 0.042 mg/L,and could be used as soil stabilizer to reduce the enrichment of chromium by plants.Therefore,iron oxide nanoparticles were successfully loaded on the sponge surface,and good results were achieved in adsorption and removal of phosphorus and chromium in water.Simulation application also shows that the adsorbent has the ability to remove trace phosphorus in water,inhibit algae growth and remove chromium from industrial wastewater.Adsorbents have potential for industrial application.
