| China is the world’s second largest economy country. The Chinese people demand for a better life is increasing day by day.Driven by China’s "the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road "policy,China’s cruise industry has ushered in an opportunity for development. On the map of the rapid development of cruise tourism in the world,China’s cruise tourism is becoming an emerging market with great development potential.China’s design and manufacture of high-value-added cruise ships are still in the preliminary research and exploration stage. However, the country has taken the research on high-tech cruise ships as the technical barrier to be overcome by "Made in China 2025" plan.Cabin space is the area with the highest proportion of functions in cruise space, and is also the most critical part of cruise design and operation efficiency. This paper sorts out the development history of world cruise ships and the characteristics of cruise ship design.Through the research on the space of international contemporary cruise ships currently operating in China and the investigation on the consumption habits of Chinese cruise tourists,it puts forward the problem of adaptive design of the cabin space of Chinese contemporary cruise ships, and points out that the cabin space organization of cruise ships needs to balance economy and adaptability, privacy and publicity of space.According to the concept of multi-person cabin space organization, this paper puts forward methods of appropriate separation, emphasis on personal areas and enrichment of space levels. It is concluded that the passenger cabin of a cruise ship needs to realize the cabin group design in the end of the cabin space for people traveling with many people. The strategy is to arrange the modules compactly, separate the spaces and integrate the individual units in order to adapt to the group travel behavior needs of Chinese tourists and enhance the cabin space experience of contemporary cruise ships.I hope to provide some constructive solutions for the design of contemporary cruise ships independently designed by China in the future. |
