SRAM-based FPGAs are increasingly used in the aviation field due to their low cost and high logic density.However,because of its structural characteristics,it is susceptible to high-energy particles in the irradiation environment,and single event upset occurs,causing the memory in the FPGA to upset.Since the user’s circuit design is implemented on the memory unit,the single event upset occurring on the configuration memory unit may cause the function of the user’s circuit to fail.Therefore,the research on fault-tolerant technology that can potentially affect the SRAM-based FPGA’s single event upset is particularly important for whether the FPGA can maintain high effectiveness.First,the principle of partial reconfiguration is studied,and then the design idea of the anti-irradiation circuit is analyzed;according to the characteristics of FPGA configuration,the study extracts the essential configuration bits related to the circuit design from the user’s configuration circuit to strengthen the anti-irradiation circuit.The working efficiency of the irradiation circuit;based on the above research,four anti-irradiation scheme circuits have been designed and implemented,including: partial reconfiguration of the frame,partial reconfiguration of the block,partial reconfiguration of the frame and combination of triple modular redundancy Reinforcement,two kinds of partial reconfiguration(frame,block)and triple modular redundancy joint reinforcement.The anti-radiation design of single event upset is realized in different dimensions respectively.The designed anti-irradiation circuit realizes the functions of error repair and error injection.Experiments such as bit classification,error injection,error repair,and partial reconfiguration were carried out on the circuit under test.The bit classification is defined according to whether the configuration bit has an impact on the configuration bit type.For error injection and repair,an essential configuration bit and an inessential configuration bit were selected for testing,and the correction results were analyzed.The anti-irradiation circuit designed and implemented in this paper can realize the reconfiguration of FPGA local information,can realize the protection of single bit upset,and also has a certain inhibitory effect on single event multi-bit upset.Since the selected implementation object is Xilinx 7 series chips with similar underlying structure,it can be transplanted in other 7 series chips.
