With the increasing sustainable development of the times, one of the most important foundations of China’s rapid economic development is traffic construction. The importance of bridges in transportation cannot be overstated. Many parts of China experience earthquakes on a regular basis. The occurrence of superstructure pounding may cause damage to the functions of some bridge components or falling beams due to the limited space between the main girder expansion joints of the bridge superstructure. The pounding effect that may occur at each expansion joint of the main girder of a continuous rigid frame bridge is the research object in this paper, and the pounding effect of the expansion joint on the dynamic response of the continuous rigid frame bridge with high piers,as well as several factors affecting the collision effect, are thoroughly examined,Finally, evaluate the seismic vulnerability of the bridge’s main components and systems under various operating conditions. The following are the main research findings:(1)Gather domestic and international literature on seismic bridge theory and collision research, and conduct seismic and collision research using the OpenSees program.(2)Using the OpenSees finite open source OpenSees software, the full bridge elastoplasty analysis model is created, and the design response range is calculated using the bridge example location. The Pacific Earthquake Research Center will thrive in these conditions(PEER)The response spectrum of the 7 natural seismic waves is nearly identical to the design response range, preserving the applicability and reliability of dynamic response results to some extent.(3)The pounding effect on the bridge’s dynamic response and the pounding effect of the continuous rigid frame bridge are investigated for various factors such as the expansion joint gap,the main approach bridge’s period ratio, and near-and far-fault earthquakes.Analyze the impact of pounding and the dynamic response of bridges under a variety of conditions, and summarize relevant laws.(4)Identifies the damage index of the main components of the bridge to classify the corresponding level of damage, and explains the basic steps of the theory and analysis of seismic vulnerability, examines the relevant uncertain factors in detail and plans the vulnerability curve of each component for analysis under various working conditions.Examine the bridge’s main components and the likelihood of damage to the system’s fragility.
