Research On Street Space Design Of Child-friendly Community

Since the founding of New China,China’s urbanization has gone through three stages: slow development period,accelerated development period and rapid development period.The latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics shows that the urbanization rate of the country’s resident population reached 64.72%at the end of 2021,but China’s urbanization still suffers from low quality of development,deterioration of ecological environment and inadequate infrastructure.For example,China’s urban space planning and construction is relatively sloppy and backward,with insufficient humanization,and the various needs for public space of all age groups,especially children,who account for 1/4 of the population,have long been neglected.In recent years,with the increasing emphasis on the concept of "child-friendly cities" in China,government departments have introduced relevant policies one after another,and various sectors of society have begun to pay attention to the development and construction of child-friendly cities.In the "Manual for Building Child-Friendly Cities and Communities" published by the United Nations Children’s Fund in 2019,it is proposed that children should be guaranteed safer and more comfortable to play and play in the streets of the community......,This paper takes this as the starting point and conducts a relevant study for the design and future development of child-friendly community street space in China,taking the children group The paper analyzes the relationship between the spatial components of child-friendly community streets,children’s behavioral characteristics,and children’s psychological needs,based on the theories of the special characteristics of children,child-friendly community streets,and the relationship between children’s behavior and community street space;secondly,the research methods of field research,literature research,and questionnaire survey are used to combine the current characteristics of the selected streets,spatial interfaces,and structures in Jinan’s Ying Shi Dongjie community.Secondly,by using field research method,literature research method,questionnaire survey method and other research methods,we found out that there are traffic safety hazards in the selected street space for children’s daily activities,children’s behavioral activities in the street space are restricted,and the existing children’s activity space in the street is lacking and the facilities are single,etc.;then we explored the components of the child-friendly community street space by combining the relevant domestic and foreign excellent literature and cases,and proposed a child-friendly community street space The elements of a child-friendly community street space are "safety","comfort","accessibility","fun" and "closeness to nature"."Finally,based on the above theoretical research,the design of the community street space of Ying Shi Dong Jie was renovated to meet the humanized needs of children in the community street space.Through the research of this paper,we hope to provide a new perspective on the future planning and development of urban community street space from the perspective of urban construction and planning and design,to guide the planning and construction of street public space that can truly allow children to freely participate,experience and play,and to provide theoretical reference for the development of child-friendly cities in China.
