Research On The Interior Design Of Urban B&B With Urban Characteristic

As China’s economy has rapidly developed and tourism has flourished,urban B&B has grown as a complementary form of commercial accommodation space such as hotels and motels,gradually expanding from the rural to the city.Compared to rural B&B,research on the interior design of urban B&B in China has been inadequate.There is no summary of the specific interior design methods and strategies of urban B&B and no awareness of importance of B&B design with distinctive urban characteristics for urban cultural construction.This paper takes urban characteristics as an entry point to illustrates the importance of reflecting urban characteristics to enrich the language design of urban B&B,enhance the competitiveness of urban B&B and inherit the cultural city heritage.By analyzing the existing problems in the interior design of urban homestays,the principles and methods of interior design of urban homestays with urban characteristics are summarized: under the principles of highlighting urban characteristics,respecting architectural structure,following the innovation of the times,conforming to functional and practical,and conforming to the principles of appropriate design,by analyzing the connotation of urban characteristics,extracting urban elements from it to establish the design theme of urban homestay,and create urban characteristics on the basis of improving its spatial function layout.The paper validates the scientific nature of the design methods proposed in this paper by taking the urban B&B in Liaocheng as evidence,in the hope of providing reference and help for future urban B&B interior design.
