Wheelchair Design For Young People With Acquired Lower Limb Disabilities Based On Lifestyle Construction

At present,there is less attention to the young people with acquired lower limb disabilities.Unlike the people with physical disabilities caused by congenital factors,these people need to integrate into society and realize their self-worth,so they need to bear greater psychological pressure.At present,there is a strong convergence of wheelchairs in the market.Wheelchairs are mostly designed for adults,the elderly,children,athletes and other groups,and there is less research on wheelchair design for young people with acquired lower limb disabilities.At the same time,the current wheelchair design is mostly studied from the application of new technology,the innovation of function,the improvement of shape and the optimization of structure.Pay less attention to users’ psychology and lifestyle,and the research on users is not deep enough to meet users’ needs.Based on the analysis of web text and user interviews,this thesis constructs the lifestyle measurement dimension of young people with acquired lower limb disabilities and analyzes the lifestyle characteristics of young people with acquired lower limb disabilities.And the number of people with stable lifestyles is significantly higher than the other two categories.In design and practice,wheelchairs should not only help active users enjoy life,but also help passive slacker and stable users build up confidence and transform their lifestyle.Determine the design opportunity points according to the lifestyle characteristics of wheelchair users and the potential needs of wheelchair products at the physiological and psychological levels.Combining the framework of the user experience structure(cue)model and referring to the hierarchical distribution in the five-level theory in the user experience model,this paper puts forward the wheelchair design strategy for the lifestyle of young people with acquired lower limb disabilities,guides the design practice,determines that the three core functions of the wheelchair are the height adjustment function,the assistance function and the mobile terminal control function,and designs the hardware and mobile terminal applications of the wheelchair.It is hoped that through the wheelchair design research of this topic,Help young people with acquired lower limb disabilities build up self-confidence and adapt to new lifestyles faster and better.At the same time,the current wheelchair design has not conducted research on the user’s lifestyle,which is an important attempt.It is hoped that through this design research,it will contribute to the research on wheelchair product design based on lifestyle.It is also hoped that through this design practice,the society will pay attention to the young people with acquired lower limb disabilities.
