Spatial Analysis And Activation Design Of Traditional Villages Disusing In Yicheng County

As the stable economic,social and material space of traditional villages for thousands of years is broken by the impact of urbanization,the spatial functions of traditional villages,which were originally based on simple production and living,can no longer meet the current spatial needs,and more and more spaces are gradually abandoned,behind the scenes of a large number of unused buildings,empty and abandoned streets and alleys,all the deteriorating living environment seems to announce that the decline of traditional villages is an inevitable trend.In the face of the rapid decline of traditional villages and the consequent negative problems,the study and remediation of the spatial abandonment of settlements is particularly important.As a traditional agricultural production area in Shanxi Province,Yicheng County is relatively backward in terms of traditional village clustering,and the problem of disusing of its settlement space is more concentrated and widespread,and the task of protecting and revitalizing these traditional villages that have not yet disappeared is becoming more and more urgent.Therefore,this paper selects the disusing space of traditional villages in Yicheng County as the research object,and focuses on the following five aspects:(1)Firstly,by combing the basic research of related research progress and theories,outline the performance characteristics and evolutionary stages of the disusing of traditional villages,so as to clarify the correlation between the disusing of traditional villages and spatial renewal design.(2)Through the analysis of the spatial waste of traditional villages in Yicheng County,the spatial characteristics and current problems of waste are summarized.(3)By establishing a quantitative spatial analysis model,we quantitatively analyze and classify the empty waste in traditional villages in Yicheng County.(4)To determine the spatial renewal revitalization idea of the traditional villages in Yicheng County,and to screen out the village objects that are suitable for the spatial renewal revitalization through the assessment of the comprehensive value of the villages,and to propose a toolbox of spatial revitalization design strategies.(5)The key village,Gutaoyuan Village,was selected to develop a specific design for each of its disusing spaces based on the revitalization strategy.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Based on the analysis of the spatial characteristics of traditional villages in Yicheng County,we summarized the spatial characteristics of the spatial fragmentation of traditional villages in Yicheng County,including the spatial fragmentation and traditional spatial texture fault,the change of spatial function due to the change of production and life style,and the variety of spatial forms.(2)The basic model for the quantitative spatial analysis of the traditional villages in Yicheng County was constructed,including the quantitative analysis of the overall disusing rate of land and population migration,and the quantitative analysis of the specific disusing rate of public space,street and alley space and residential houses.The degree of village disusing is classified into five levels,from light to heavy.The screening system of comprehensive value assessment of abandoned traditional villages was refined,and the characteristics of disusing villages suitable for revitalization through spatial renewal were clarified.Specifically,traditional villages with a light or moderate degree of disusing(Grade I,Grade II,Grade III)and a high degree of disusing in public space but a low degree of disusing in house space and street space were selected.A toolbox of spatial strategies for the revitalization of traditional villages in Yicheng County is proposed from the perspective of spatial activation and renewal,which is then combined with specific spatial revitalization strategies by applying them one by one to suitable spaces for revitalization,and a practical demonstration study is conducted with the example of ancient Taoyuan Village.This paper identifies new ideas of spatial revitalization for the disusing spaces of traditional villages from the perspective of landscape gardening discipline,in order to not only improve and protect the disusing spaces from the perspective of historical dependence,but also to focus on how to continue the use of these spaces in the new era.
