| The global 5G coverage has increased sharply,along with the strong introduction of BTS(Base Transceiver Station,BTS),the number of RRU(Remote Radio Unit,RRU)stations has also increased.According to Huawei’s statistics,5G power stations consume 70%more power than 4G stations,leading to excessive energy consumption.Therefore,a high-performance telecommunications power supply will bring great value in reducing power consumption.The extended RRU substation is like a transceiver card,providing power to the antenna(but instead of placing it under the station,it will be placed above the antenna mast).Basically,the BTS will include a BBU block,this block processes signals of all kinds,then transmits the signal(by optical wire)and power to the RRU(DC 48V source),in the RRU block will process that signal and transmit it onto the antenna.So what advantages does RRU have over the old transceiver card:-With the old system:need many transceiver cards consuming location in the station house(because it can’t be placed outdoors)1 BTS sometimes has to have 1 900 cabinet,11800 cabinet,1 3G cabinet.-With the RRU system,only a small space is needed to place the BBU(just processed 900 1800,3G always),takes up very little spaceThis will be especially economical when in a small space can accommodate many cariersDisadvantages compared to the old system:-RRU due to outdoor placement makes replacement difficult-RRU needs to go optical signal,so it is often bitten by animals,more easily damaged than feeder.The control methods for the PFC(power factor correction,PFC)and DC-DC converters in this paper aim to provide an approach and practical design of the power supply for the extended RRU station.The Interleaved PFC CRM(critical conduction mode,CRM)and LLC resonant converters are the ultimate solution for high performance power supplies.Another important point is to study the Interleaved control strategy with frequency domain converter,valve opening time compensation algorithm to reduce THD(Total Harmonic Distortion,THD)factor thereby helping to increase the peak efficiency of the power supply up to 96%.All calculations,control algorithms are presented below. |
