The CLT(Contracted and Loaded Tip)propeller was first proposed in the 1980 s.Because of its advantages of high efficiency,low vibration and noise,and good maneuverability,it is favored by most shipping companies.Up to now,CLT pr opellers have been widely used on all types of ships.The stern wake field,as a key factor affecting the hydrodynamic performance of the propeller,is seldom taken into account in the related research on the CLT propeller.Therefore,this paper starts from the conventional propeller,carrying out research on hydrodynamic performance of CLT propeller considering the influence of stern wake field based on CFD method,to discuss the influence of end plates on the open water performance of conventional propellers and the wake field and induced excitation force characteristics of CLT propellers under wake field conditions.This paper starts with the geometric configuration of the ship and the propeller,and successively completes the semi-parametric and full-parametric modeling of the ship and the propeller.The ship adopts the B-Spline control surface to realize the semi-parametric modeling,and the conventional propeller adopts Meta Surface and Feature realize fully parametric modeling,and CLT propellers are obtained by adjusting blade tip parameters on the basis of conventional propellers.The resistance and wake field numerical simulation of the standard model KCS ship was carried out,and the simulation results were compared with the experimental values to verify the accuracy and reliability of the numerical method.The simulation calculation is carried out,the influence of the stern configuration on the resistance and the uniformity of the wake field is discussed and analyzed,and the ship type scheme with better uniformity is obtained.The open water performance of KP505 and CLT-505 propellers was calculated,and the surface pressure,wake vortex and vortex field,and axial velocity distribution at different positions were compared and analyzed.In addition,the CLT propeller was realized based on the CAESES and STAR-CCM+ coupling platform.Variable parameter calculation,based on the multiple linear regression analysis method,the sensitivity analysis of the characteristic parameters of the CLT propeller was completed,and according to the analysis results,the propeller type scheme with better open water performance was obtained.Finally,the hydrodynamic performance calculation of the CLT propeller under the wake field condition is carried out,and the accuracy of the calculation model is verified by the method of grid uncertainty analysis.The axial excitation force induced by the blade,the surface pressure of the propeller,the distribution of the wake field,and the distribution of tip vorticity under the scheme are compared and analyzed.
