With the rapid development of science and technology and the improvement of people’s quality of life,cars begin to enter thousands of households.While improving the convenience of life,traffic congestion is becoming more and more serious.How to reduce people’s travel time and alleviate urban traffic congestion has become a hot research topic for transportation scholars.Effective regional traffic signal control method is the lowest cost control method to solve traffic congestion.Based on this,this paper proposes a regional signal coordination control method based on sub-region division.The main research contents are as follows:(1)In view of the large area traffic signal control of the road network is difficult to effectively,this paper considers section length between the intersection,traffic flow,the three important factors affecting the signal cycle,total correlation intersection model is set up,using the weighted Fast algorithm of Newman sub area for regional transportation network,the large area is divided into several sub areas.To reduce the difficulty of regional coordination control,they respectively execute signal control schemes suitable for their respective regions,which also lays a foundation for sub-interval coordination control in the following paper.(2)With the maximum total traffic volume,minimum total delay and shortest total queue length at sub-interval intersections as optimization indexes,the coordination optimization model of adjacent sub-intervals is established to optimize the signal cycle,green time and phase difference of adjacent sub-intervals,and the improved sparrow search algorithm is used to solve the problem.In order to test the feasibility and superiority of the improved sparrow search algorithm,high-dimensional single-objective test function and high-dimensional multi-objective test function are selected for test and verification.The results show that the improved sparrow search algorithm proposed in this paper has high optimization rate and strong convergence ability,and can be used to solve multi-objective optimization problems.(3)Realize ELSSA and SSA algorithm programming in MATLAB,and solve the sub-interval coordination control optimization model.The road network was drawn by VISSIM simulation software for example simulation,and the simulation results were compared and analyzed.The results show that the total traffic volume,total delay and total queue length of sub-interval intersections are improved after the coordinated control method is implemented,and the optimization effect is better.
