With the rapid development of China’s railway industry,the application of train operation control systems has become increasingly widespread.The Beacon Transmission Module(BTM)is a critical component of the beacon transmission system and plays a vital role in ensuring the safe operation of trains.Current approaches to testing BTM performance involve multiple measuring instruments and various testing phases,which are inadequate for on-site testing requirements.There is an urgent need to research a testing device that can meet the demands of onsite BTM testing.The control system designed in this paper consists of an upper computer and a main control board,collectively controlling the transmission of uplink and downlink signals by the signal board.This system facilitates the control of the testing process and the analysis of testing results.This paper conducts an in-depth study of BTM testing standards and,based on a comprehensive review of existing literature and testing equipment,designs a control system for BTM performance testing.Firstly,it establishes a series of test cases by using BTM testing standards as a foundation and combining actual parameters from the simulated train operation process.The control system then sends test signals,creating a testing sequence comprised of different test cases to simulate the static detection of trains passing over beacons on different routes.Furthermore,a complete testing procedure is designed.The upper computer generates test cases and sends them to the main control board.The main control board reads the test case information and sends signals containing the necessary parameters for BTM testing.The upper computer collects data on how BTM receives the test cases and analyzes the results through an intuitive graphical user interface.This allows for convenient control of the testing process and analysis of the results.The paper also details the hardware architecture and main processor program of the main control board.It employs a hot standby redundant structure to enhance reliability and proposes a novel primary-secondary switching and data synchronization method,including circuit connection and software processing flow.Lastly,it defines the interfaces between the boards and between the boards and the upper computer,along with designing a comprehensive communication protocol.After extensive testing,the BTM performance testing device control system designed in this paper has been proven to effectively transmit all the necessary link signals for BTM testing.The electrical characteristics of the test signals conform to BTM reception standards,and the error rate during testing is negligible,thus meeting the performance requirements of the beacon transmission system testing.
