Holistic Tourism And Grand Events Responsive Surf Resort Planning Strategy

In recent years,with surfing officially becoming an Olympic event,international grand surfing events have been held in Wanning city,Hainan province,China,and other places for many times,which have played an important role in the extensive expansion of holistic tourism,the in-depth understanding of surfing sports and the promotion of industrial economy.In the context of rejuvenating the country through sports and national fitness,island tourism with surfing as its main purpose has gradually emerged.Especially during the holding of surfing events,a large number of tourists from home and abroad will gather at Wanning Riyue Bay and other surf spots to conduct gatherings,recreation,The tourism activities integrating health care and sightseeing have put forward new requirements for the development of tourist destinations,sports services,transportation organization,accommodation facilities,environmental protection,and scenic spots.The contradiction between the flexible conversion during the game and the usual time.At present,the number of surfing tourist resorts in my country is very small,and most of them are built spontaneously.There are generally problems such as inappropriate selection of surf spots,excessive coastal development,lack of professional services,chaotic internal and external traffic,uneven travel and accommodation conditions,and single tourist routes.At times,the capacity of tourists and the environment are unbearable,and a large number of facilities are usually idle.It is urgent to extract the core elements affecting the planning of surf resorts in China based on professional analysis of the characteristics of surf sports,surfing event regulations,and surfing tourist portraits under the guidance of holistic tourism.Accordingly,corresponding planning theories and strategies are put forward to promote the smooth holding of grand surfing events,the sustainable development of the surfing coastal environment,and the full-time linkage of surfing tourism.The research contents include:1)Analyzing the current situation of surf resort planning in China;2)Refining the influencing factors of surfing tourist resort planning;3)Constructing a theoretical framework for surf resort planning for holistic tourism and grand events,and proposing three surf resorts.Meta-influence mechanism theory and surf resort planning and development theory:surf spot presupposition,event promotion theory,tourist support theory;4)Based on the above theories,summed up surf resort planning strategies for holistic tourism and grand events;5)Through Wanning empirical research on field investigation and renewal planning of Riyue Bay Surf Resort,feedback adjustment planning theory and strategy.Findings:1)Unsuitable location of surf spots and excessive ocean development destroy the coastal environment and waste land resources.The internal and external traffic chaos and the single scenic tour line affect the travel and tourism experience of tourists,hinder surf resorts from holding surfing competitions,lack of professional services and accommodation.The uneven conditions hinder the development of surfing tourism in surf resorts;2)The influencing factors of surf resort planning include:(1)Coastal surf spots factor group-surf spot conditions,beach environment,(2)Event planning factor group-transportation facilities,competitions site requirements,(3)Tourist activity group-surfing service,basic supporting facilities;3)Response to holistic tourism and grand events.The planning strategies of the surf resort include:(1)The surf spot planning strategy for coordinated use of the region,the recommended safe distance for surfing is 10m,and the use capacity of surf spots is estimated based on the safe surfing distance to guide the rational use of surf spots in the resort area.(2)Special protection beach environment planning strategy,Guarantee the effective use of beaches in the resort from three aspects:land management,resort environment protection and special species.(3)Double-ring and single-track traffic facilities planning strategy.When the area of the resort is greater than 10hm~2,open management is adopted for traffic,and the area is less than 10hm~2.(4)The competition venue planning strategy of divisional connection,strictly distinguish each functional area,and build a 2.5m-high canvas wall channel to connect the functional areas.(5)The surfing service planning strategy of function conversion,changing the layout of the surfing club building space,changing the venue function,enriching the tourism activities of surfing tourists,and improving the surfing club’s event support ability.(6)The regional overall coordination of infrastructure supporting facilities planning strategy,statistics of the use capacity of the infrastructure facilities within the resort and within 2km of the surrounding area will be dispatched uniformly during the competition;4)According to the planning strategy of the surf resort for holistic tourism and grand events,the planning of the Riyue Bay surf resort is guided,and78%of the respondents(n=100)means that Riyue Bay Resort has significantly improved in terms of facilities construction,surfing service quality and tourism activities.
