Since 1992,China has issued four editions of the Outline for the Development of Chinese Children.In 2021,"child-friendly" has been officially included in the 14 th Five-Year Plan,and the concept of "child-friendly" has gradually formed a consensus in China.Community public space is the main activity place for children,especially preschool children.For a long time,China’s relevant planning and related departments have paid little attention to children’s demands,and the overall child-friendly degree of community public space is low.Therefore,taking some communities in the old and new district of Nanjing as samples,this paper conducted the research on the evaluation and optimization strategy of child-friendly of community public space,hoping to provide reference for the construction of child-friendly community public space in China.Based on the theoretical research of children’s psychological and behavioral characteristics,this paper summarizes the research progress and relevant research results through the interpretation of relevant research,practice and policy norms.Based on the field investigation of the present situation of children’s public space supply and the actual demand of children in 20 sample communities in Nanjing,the paper deeply understands the difference of supply in different types of communities and the different demand of children at different ages.Building research community public space childfriendly degree evaluation system based on the sample of community public space for the children’s friendly degree evaluation,and based on the evaluation results,the orientation on the needs of children as a value,to respect children’s rights as the basic principle,puts forward the child-friendly community public space and optimize the key and main strategy.The research shows that the current supply of children’s public space in sample communities is difficult to meet the actual needs of children,and the contradiction between supply and demand is mainly related to the insufficient attention to "childfriendly" in community planning,the lack of specific guidance of relevant norms and standards,and the increasing needs of children.The result of child-friendly degree evaluation of sample community public space shows the whole child-friendly degree is not high,the new community child-friendly degree is higher than that of the general characteristics of old community,including interest and participation are the main factors influencing the child-friendly degree.Safety,comfort and diversity are ubiquitous unfriendly old community problems.According to the evaluation results of child-friendly degree and the needs of children at different ages,this paper proposes strategies such as improving the standard system,implementing precise policies based on the classification,systematic spatial optimization,and encouraging children to participate.This thesis contains 79337 words,with 32 figures and 44 tables in total.
