Research On The Application Of "Emotional Design" In The Elderly Care Environment

Since 1999,our country has entered the population ageing in a high speed development mode.Compared with the developed countries such as France,Switzerland,the United Kingdom and the United States,our country has the fastest number and speed from population ageing,and in an ever-evolving pattern.In this context,how to improve the quality of old-age care has become the most popular topic.The community for the old-age environment has become the focus of attention and demand.The design of the environment for the aged can not only satisfy the basic function for the aged,but also focus on the emotional design of the environment for the aged.Whether can effectively solve the old-age environment humanization,emotional problems,has gradually become the elderly group in the old-age environment in the well-being index of the main conditions to consider.This research adopts the research methods of Literature Research,questionnaire survey,Field Investigation and empirical research,summarizes the existing problems,analyzes the reasons and puts forward the strategies,the related concept of "emotional design" is introduced into the practice of the integration of the old-age environment,and the development method which is more suitable for the design of the old-age environment is sought in the context of the accelerated development of the aging,the scale and space layout of rural residential care homes for the aged are rebuilt,the existing sites are fully utilized,the functions of rural areas are improved,and high-quality space for the aged is created to improve the quality of life of the elderly in the area.Starting from the emotional design of the old-age care environment,the author first understands the design status of the rural residential care homes for the aged in Zengjia by means of field investigation,by putting forward,analyzing and summarizing the basic information of the old-age environment,it is found that there are few research cases of the old-age environment combining the needs of the old-age emotional design.Through investigation and research,this paper sums up the old people’s sense of belonging,nostalgia,self-respect and sense of value to the old-age care environment,and combines the natural and humanistic characteristics of Chongqing area,on the basis of the research on instinct,behavior and reflection proposed by Professor Donald Norman,different levels of old-age care environment have different emotional resonance for old people,from the aspects of style,shape,material,color,light and so on,this paper puts forward the feasible strategies of the old-age environment design.Let the role of the nursing home not only satisfy the material needs of the elderly group,but also the spiritual needs of the elderly.The nursing home should set the sense of belonging and happiness of the elderly group as the goal of struggle,the humane care for the elderly group should be reflected in every subtle design.
