| Vortex acoustic waves are a type of acoustic phenomenon characterized by a special type of vortex wave that spirals along a central axis and produces a phase singularity at its center. This article focuses on the principles behind the generation of Laguerre-Gaussian vortex acoustic waves, the impact of various parameters on vortex acoustic waves, multiplexing, and encoding/decoding based on Laguerre-Gaussian vortex acoustic waves. The main contents of this article are as follows:Firstly, based on the theory of Laguerre-Gaussian vortex acoustic waves, both single and multiplexed acoustic waves were simulated theoretically.First, the effects of different radial nodes, different topological charges, and array radius on vortex acoustic waves were compared and analyzed using three-dimensional graphics.Second, the impact of frequency, radius, and transducer numbers on sound pressure amplitude were compared and analyzed. Finally, the multiplexing of Laguerre-Gaussian vortex acoustic waves was studied through simulation to provide theoretical and experimental bases for the encoding/decoding methods of vortex acoustic waves.Secondly, based on the theory of multiplexing Laguerre-Gaussian vortex acoustic waves, the feasibility of using vortex acoustic waves for encoding and transmitting information was further studied. Two encoding methods were proposed based on the eight-bit ASCII code for the character "NUIST" : six-bit multiplexing encoding and an improved two-bit multiplexing encoding to address the issues of high coupling and the impact of transducer numbers on vortex acoustic waves.Thirdly, based on the above research content,a platform for experimental testing of a doublering uniform circular array of transducers was constructed. The components of the experimental system were described according to the design process flowchart. The experimental results were analyzed, and the impact of frequency and topological charges on the sound pressure amplitude and phase map of vortex acoustic waves was studied. Finally, through analyzing the experimental results,it was found that the improved two-bit multiplexing encoding scheme can transmit more information under limited transducer numbers and small energy divergence, validating its feasibility for acoustic communication. In summary, through theoretical research on the multiplexing technology of Laguerre-Gaussian vortex acoustic waves, the relationship between topological charges and phase coding was analyzed, and the feasibility of vortex acoustic waves as a new degree of freedom for acoustic communication was verified. |
