Entering the new era,in the context of rural revitalization,Weihai City has rich natural resources and valuable experience in building rural areas, which has unparalleled advantages in promoting coastal rural revitalization. At present, the coastal areas of Weihai have entered a new stage of dual development and opening up,with rapid development in social and economic aspects, while also driving the continuous development of urban-rural integration. However, traditional villages along the coast of Weihai have also exposed some problems in spatial development. The limitations of spatial resources and uncoordinated regional development have led to differences in the spatial structure and layout planning of traditional villages, requiring targeted transformation, reconstruction and development. In addition,in terms of planning and layout, excessive emphasis is placed on creating distinctive spaces rather than collaborative optimization of the overall space, resulting in unreasonable spatial layout. This article mainly adopts a research method that combines literature research and field research, with traditional villages along the coast of Weihai as the main research object,to understand their development status, identify difficulties, pain points, and unblock blockages.Guided by the concept of "Three Lives" integration, spatial planning and reconstruction are carried out from the "Three Lives" dimension to activate the traditional village space along the coast of Weihai and provide valuable suggestions and inspiration for the future development of the coastal area of Weihai. This article first starts from the spatial characteristics and related elements of traditional villages, and combines relevant theories to conduct a systematic analysis of the "Three Lives" space in traditional villages,in order to break down the specific composition of the "Three Lives" space and clarify the internal and external factors that affect the development of traditional villages.Secondly, the focus is on studying the current spatial status of traditional villages along the coast of Weihai, analyzing their layout patterns and spatial development, summarizing the basic development characteristics of production, living, and ecological space.Taking Dongdun Village and Dongchu Island Village as examples, their advanced experiences are summarized.Conduct a specific analysis on the problems existing in the production, living, and ecological spaces of traditional villages along the coast of Weihai, and determine the spatial optimization goal of "three living" integration.Once again, the participants of traditional villages along the coast of Weihai were analyzed, and the "Three Lives" spatial activation model was innovatively constructed.Based on this,a comprehensive layout was planned to achieve the organic integration of people, nature, and resources from four aspects: reshaping the spatial pattern, creating spatial nodes, establishing spatial frameworks, and coordinating spatial functions.Innovative design was carried out for the space of traditional villages along the coast of Weihai.Based on the four supporting levels of urban-rural relations, fishery and farmer culture, grassroots governance, and social security, strategies such as integrated revitalization, civilized rural customs, effective good governance, and people’s happiness are proposed. Finally, the practical transformation of Yandunjiao Village in Rongcheng City will be carried out, depicting a new era blueprint of prosperous and strong industries, beautiful ecology, and satisfactory people’s livelihoods.
