In the complex climate,strong ice and snow conditions,electric locomotive is difficult to undertake the transportation task,diesel locomotive,as the best traction locomotive,plays an important role.In recent years,China’s internal combustion engine performance has achieved good development,especially in high power,high speed to maintain stable fuel consumption and emissions.While making gratifying achievements,we should also pay attention to the problems accompanied by the development,such as the thermal load and mechanical load on each part of the internal combustion engine under the working condition of high power and high speed,which makes the reliability of the internal combustion engine appear problems,especially worthy of attention.The piston group is an important part of the reliable operation of the internal combustion engine.During the operation,the fuel combustion produces high temperature gas,and the maximum pressure can reach 20 MPa or even higher.The mechanical energy produced by the work of internal combustion engine needs the output of piston group to avoid the gas movement in the cylinder and play a sealing role.Although the structure of the piston is relatively simple,the working environment is the worst,and it needs enough strength to meet the use needs.Firstly,based on the research on the development level and piston technology level of similar high-power medium speed diesel engines at home and abroad,according to the parameters of16V280 ZJB diesel engine,the research scheme of piston group is determined,and the steel top aluminum skirt composite piston with mature technology is selected.Secondly,the piston group is designed,including the structural design and material selection of the piston.The top,head and skirt pin seat of the piston are designed to meet the structural needs of the piston group.Then,the combustion chamber structure of the piston crown,the oil passage structure of the inner and outer cooling chambers,and the height between the piston crown and the ring bank were improved;Reinforcement treatment of piston pin and pin seat.Finally,the accurate threedimensional model of the piston group is constructed by Solid Works,which is imported into ANSYS software for finite element analysis.Through the basic theoretical study of the stress field and temperature fi eld of the piston group,the stress boundary conditions and initial temperature conditions are determined,and the temperature and heat flux of the temperature field of the piston group,the distribution and deformation of the stress field are analyzed.Under the working conditions of working temperature,bolt preload,maximum explosion pressure and maximum reciprocating inertia,according to the strength check,the structure of the designed piston group has enough strength to ensure the reliability and durability of the piston group.
