Compared with steel structure and concrete structure,wood structure has the characteristics of green environmental protection,health and comfort,excellent seismic performance and so on.But the strength of wood is small,the combination of steel and wood,using the strength of steel to improve the overall bearing capacity.Wood can prevent premature buckling instability of steel plate.The affinity and warmth of wood can achieve a unique architectural effect.At present,the research on the mechanical properties of steel-wood composite arch is very little.Therefore,in this paper,the mechanical properties of glulam arch and steel-glulam composite arch are investigated by loading test,finite element simulation and theoretical analysis.The main research results of this paper are as follows:(1)The five-point loading test is carried out on the glulam arch and the steel-glulam composite arch,and the failure mode,bearing capacity and strain distribution of the arch are obtained.The results show that compared with the glulam arch,the steel content in the cross section of the composite arch is 0.1,and the in-plane bearing capacity of the composite arch is 30%higher than that of the glulam arch,and the cooperative performance of glulam and steel is better.Because the initial defect of bolted composite arch is too large,out-of-plane failure occurs near the arch foot support.(2)ABAQUS is used to conduct finite element analysis,the error between the simulated bearing capacity and the test result is about 5%.The influence of steel strength,wood strength and steel content on the ultimate bearing capacity of steel-glulam composite arch is studied.The results show that the steel content has the most significant effect on the bearing capacity.When the steel content increases from 0.05 to0.2,the bearing capacity can be increased by 175%.When the steel is increased from Q235 to Q460,the bearing capacity is increased by 62%.The timber grade is increased from TC_T18 to TC_T30 and the bearing capacity increased by 35%.(3)The internal force of two-hinged arc arch under uniform loading and five-point loading is solved by force method,and the thrust error of arch foot under two loading modes is 19%.The bearing capacity of glulam arch is calculated by referring to the domestic standard,and the error between it and the experimental results is 19%.The bearing capacity of steel-glulam composite arch is checked by using"the theory of simulated wood",and the error is 11%.
