Ozone layer destruction, global warming problems appear.Although most conventional refrigerants have high refrigeration performance, their emissions and pollution can’t be ignored. Thus,it is urgent to find a new generation of refrigerant which can satisfy both high efficiency and environmental protection. However, some of the new generation refrigerants are flammable. To solve the combustibility problem, people turned to flame retardants. In the process of developing a new generation of refrigerant,it is also a hotspot to find the refrigerant oil matching it.The phase behavior of refrigerant and lubricating oil greatly affects the lubrication performance and efficiency. In this paper, gaseous flame retardants and liquid flame retardants are studied, and specific work is carried out on their solubility relationship:(1)The precision of each device of the refrigerant and lubricating oil solubility test bench system and the uncertainty. The reliability of the experimental bench is also studied. The preliminary test results show that the experimental device has good reliability and accuracy.(2)Solubility data of refrigerant R13I1 and POE lubricating oil mixture,R13I1 and PVE lubricating oil in different proportions were measured at 283.15-353.15 K by isometric saturation method. The maximum relative pressure deviations of refrigerant R13I1 in POE32 and PVE32 lubricants were 4.15% and 5.16%,and the relative pressure deviations were 1.63% and 1.75%.NRTL model can better describe the phase equilibrium between refrigerant R13I1 and two lubricating oil mixtures.Image comparison shows that R13I1 has greater solubility in POE lubricating oil. Finally, the solubility was further evaluated by Henry constant, and similar conclusions were obtained.PVE oil is a better choice for R13I1 because dissolved refrigerant can affect the lubrication performance of the oil and even the reliability of the system.(3)The solubility data of R1234 yf with POE32 lubricating oil and the mixture of R1234 yf with POE32 lubricating oil with liquid flame retardant at 273.15-333.15 K were measured by isometric saturation method, and the experimental data were correlated by NRTL equation. The experimental data fit well with the fitting results. When liquid flame retardant is added to the lubricating oil,it is found that the law of refrigerant R1234 yf in POE32 lubricating oil does not change significantly, and there is a certain similarity.Adding liquid flame retardant does not affect the phase behavior of lubricating oil and refrigerant. Therefore, from the point of solubility, the liquid flame retardant can be adapted to the refrigerant R1234yf+POE lubricant system.
