At present,China’s economic and social development has shifted from high-speed growth to high-quality development.Innovation has become an important driving force and strategic support for the construction of modern economic system.The agglomeration and diffusion characteristics of technology & innovation space in cities affect the generation of urban innovation capabilities and benefits.At present,most of the research on technology & innovation space focuses on the measurement of the innovation capabilities of different technology & innovation space or the distribution of a single type of technology & innovation space at the national and regional levels.There is a lack of systematic evaluation and analysis of the spatial layout of technology & innovation space in metropolitan areas.At the same time,due to the unclear concept of technology & innovation space and the lack of evaluation methods such as spatial distribution and relevance,its layout in the city lacks overall planning,fails to achieve spatial coordination and benefit improvement,and even wastes innovative resources in some areas.Based on this,taking Tianjin metropolitan area as an example,this paper discusses the layout characteristics of technology & innovation space and the role of its influencing factors,and puts forward the construction strategy of innovative metropolitan area on the basis of the research on the layout of science and innovation space.Starting with the concept and connotation of scientific innovation space,this study first extracts the statistical data of scientific innovation space in 2019 Tianjin Science and Technology Yearbook,and carries out coordinate matching through Baidu API to accurately identify all kinds of scientific innovation spaces in Tianjin metropolitan area.Secondly,based on quantitative statistics,average nearest neighbor analysis,kernel density analysis and Moran’s I index,the layout characteristics of science and innovation space are visually analyzed from three levels: scale,agglomeration and multi type.Then the study area is divided into 1km×1km fishing net is used as the basic statistical unit of influencing factor measurement,the operation subject of science and innovation space and its connection and the elements of innovation environment in metropolitan area are used as independent variables,and the agglomeration degree of science and innovation space is used as dependent variables.The spatial econometric model(finally the spatial lag model based on geographical distance)is used to analyze the correlation between independent variables and dependent variables.It is found that:(1)the technology & innovation space in Tianjin metropolitan area is obviously unevenly distributed,forming a high-intensity agglomeration core and axis circle agglomeration mode.The layout of the three types of science and innovation space is quite different.The science and technology-oriented technology & innovation space has the strongest agglomeration to the center of the central urban area,with the characteristics of corridor development;The inward agglomeration characteristics of knowledge-oriented technology & innovation space are relatively prominent,and the "leapfrog" agglomeration characteristics of towns and streets are presented at the same time;The service-oriented technology & innovation space presents the layout characteristics of regional "homogenization" and the structural mode of "point circle";(2)In the criterion layer,the innovation environment has the most significant impact on the spatial layout of science and innovation,and in the index layer,the per capita GDP is the most attractive.(3)According to different innovation subjects,science and innovation space has the regional tendency of corresponding types of innovation concentration.In the index layer,the impact of innovation environment related indicators and Industrial Park coverage indicators is more extensive.The research suggests that in the future,the innovation construction of Tianjin metropolitan area can focus on five aspects: the guidance of multi-level technological& innovation units,the layout mode of multi-type catalysts,the support of multi-channel scientific and technological investment,the construction of high composite service facilities and the development of diversified industrial parks,so as to guide the rational layout and efficient development of scientific and technological innovation space.
