The process of population aging is accelerating,the size of the labor force is shrinking at an accelerated pace,and people’s requirements for the living environment and quality of life are constantly increasing,resulting in a soaring demand for social resources,elderly care services and appropriate aging.The relevant departments put forward the smart home as the gain and supplement of human care,in order to improve the efficiency of the elderly’s pension life,so as to alleviate the social support dilemma.However,most of the smart home products on the market currently provide standardized solutions for young people,and lack design for elderly users,resulting in high learning costs and low product utilization for elderly users.How to improve intelligent home interaction design to meet the needs of elderly users and improve product user experience is an urgent issue to be solved.This paper explores design requirements through product research and user research,uses analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to conduct quantitative analysis of design requirements,uses quality function expansion method(QF D analysis)to map design requirements into design elements,determines the relative weight of design elements,and defines important design elements and secondary design elements.Response surface optimization analysis was carried out for important design elements,user tests and questionnaires were conducted for secondary design elements,and age-appropriate interaction design for smart home control terminals was practiced according to the research results of design elements.The main results of this paper are as follows:(1)Through the investigation and analysis of product market status,product interaction,and product application scenarios,it is found that the insufficient application of smart home control terminal products is mainly reflected in two aspects:technology and design.From the perspective of age-appropriate design,questionnaire survey and user interview were conducted on the basic attributes and behavioral habits of the elderly,as well as the usage and use needs of the smart home control terminal products,and the age-appropriate interaction design needs of the smart home control terminal were summarized into four levels:visual,auditory.operational and cognitive.The analytic hierarchy process was used to quantitatively analyze the design requirements at all levels,and the hierarchical analysis model of age-appropriate interaction design requirements at the control end of smart home was constructed.The relative weights of each design requirement were obtained through matrix operation.(2)QFD method was used to map interaction design requirements into interaction design elements,correlation assignments and matrix calculations were used to build a quality house model for age-appropriate interaction design at the control end of smart home,and the relative weights of each interaction design element were obtained,among which the relative weights of color design elements were 13.33%and text design elements were 11.78%.The relative weight of icon design elements is 10.26%,and the relative weight of operation design elements is 7.81%.The relative weight of interaction design elements is compared with the relative weight of interaction design requirements.The order is basically the same,and the mapping from interaction design requirements to interaction design elements is relatively accurate.(3)The single factor experiment and response sur-face optimization analysis of color design elements and text design elements showed that with the increase of hue,saturation and brightness values,the comprehensive evaluation of elderly user experience showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.The comprehensive evaluation was affected by three factors in the following order:saturation>brightness>hue;The optimal color parameters were obtained by response surface optimization as hue 21°,saturation 98%,brightness 97%,color code#f75a05,which were in line with the general design specification for suitable aging with background color and font color contrast.In text design,with the increase of font size,font weight and line space,the comprehensive evaluation of elderly user experience also showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.The comprehensive evaluation was affected by three factors in the order of line space>font size>word weight;Through response surface optimization,the optimal text parameters are 18pt size,500 word weight and 1.4 times line spacing.(4)The user test and questionnaire survey on the icon,operation and other secondary design elements found that 85%of the elderly users chose the large icon that was convenient to click;In the form of icon combination,59%of users prefer text and graphics combined ICONS,35%of users choose simple text ICONS;In terms of icon style,53%of users choose realistic ICONS that are easier to understand,and 42%choose color block ICONS that are more obvious in visual proportion.In terms of operation gestures,only the two most basic operation modes of click and swipe are retained,which is the most efficient for users.Finally,the research results were applied into practice to complete the ageappropriate interaction design of the smart home control end,and the design scheme was tested,evaluated and optimized.The results showed that the average score of the six dimensions was above 4 points,the current design scheme reached the preset goal,and the age-appropriate interaction design of the smart home control end was feasible.
