With the digitalization of the construction industry,emerging technologies such as BIM,AR,AI,and cloud computing are driving it towards Industry 4.0,and BIM technology is one of the key technologies.Establishing a smooth BIM workflow in the architectural design phase is essential for improving the coordination ability of various specialties and stakeholders.However,there are still some problems in the existing BIM workflow,such as the difficulty of clarifying the responsibilities between specialties,inaccurate recording of BIM model data,repetitive modifications of BIM models,information silos,and the inability to protect intellectual property in collaborative environments.The emergence of blockchain technology provides new ideas for solving these problems.Therefore,given the development goals of the construction industry’s informationization,it is necessary to integrate blockchain technology to optimize the BIM workflow.This article aims to study how to integrate blockchain technology into the BIM workflow to solve existing problems.The research contents are as follows:(1)Using Business Process Modeling and Notation(BPMN),the current design and coordination BIM workflows in the architectural industry are mapped,taking into account the characteristics of BIM workflows and the architecture and basic elements of the BPMN system.Drawing on the standards and regulations of the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association and the Ministry of Construction,a clear and intuitive design stage BIM workflow is outlined.(2)The design creation and design coordination BIM workflows were analyzed using Petri net theory,and the corresponding Petri net models were established.The model performance was also analyzed and validated,and using the Petri net structure analysis method and the association matrix recombination method to analyze the internal activities and subnet relationships of the design creation and design coordination BIM workflows.The analysis results show that there are subnet conflicts in the design phase BIM workflow,and further analysis reveals areas for optimization in the design creation and design coordination BIM workflows.(3)Based on the problems and links to be optimized in the design phase BIM workflow obtained from the analysis,the BCT-BIM system is constructed by drawing on the existing BIM system architecture and blockchain system architecture,which includes application layer,contract layer,consensus layer,network layer and data layer.Proposed the optimization scheme of BIM workflow in the design phase of construction engineering and the implementation path of BCT-BIM system.(4)Using Ganache and Remix,the system was built and tested for functions such as BIM model creation,submission,registration,and modification,as well as write and update permissions for BIM models in the BCT-BIM system and on-chain permissions for BIM models.The test results validated the feasibility of integrating blockchain technology into the design phase BIM workflow and optimizing it.
