Assessment Of The Social Value Of Ecosystem Services In Shaoshan Scenic Area

The system of nature reserves includes scenic places,which are also significant carriers of ecological resources and abundant in both natural and human resources.Giving full play to the ecosystem service function of scenic locations requires a scientific and unbiased assessment of the societal worth of those ecosystem services.This assessment is also of significant practical significance for the scientific protection and use of scenic sites.This study examines the social value of ecosystem services in Shaoshan Scenic Area using the SolVES model and data from other sources.The study’s findings are summarized in the table below:(1)Shaoshan Scenic Area had the following satisfaction ratings:tourism attractiveness(4.10),tourism facilities(4.04),tourism environment(3.99),overall feeling(3.99),and tourism services(3.92).(2)Shaoshan Scenic Area’s social worth is broken down into five categories:aesthetic value,spiritual value,historical value,cultural value,and entertainment value.(3)The Shaoshan Scenic Area Social Value Index and the physical environment are significantly correlated,with the social value of the site being strongly correlated with its elevation,slope,distance from roads,and distance from water bodies.The Shaoshan Scenic Area contains the five typical high values of social value VI(value index)within the range of 200-300m in elevation and 10-20° in slope,close to roads and water.(4)The sites of Mao Zedong’s former residence,the square with the bronze monument of Chairman Mao,and the Dripping Water Cave site have higher densities of the social value information points gathered in the research region.(5)The "people—Chairman Mao" and the "location—Shaoshan" are the main points of interest for tourists to the Shaoshan Scenic Site.The most used terms were "Chairman Mao","Shaoshan","Mao Zedong" and "former residence" with historical personalities and red The most delicate value component of Shaoshan Scenic Site is culture.In order to enhance the SolVES model’s single method of acquiring social survey data and,to a certain extent,to optimize the social value assessment system for ecosystem services in Shaoshan Scenic Area,this study employs web text and POI data.The evaluation’s findings thoroughly capture the tourists’ irrational travel inclinations while illustrating the spatial-geographical distribution of social values.This will benefit the management,planning,and development of the Shaoshan Scenic Area as well as the advancement of the red culture of the leader.The future Shaoshan Scenic Area planning process incorporates ecological demands and visitor needs,giving managers and decision-makers more effective and scientific management and decision-making support.
