| With the accelerating urbanization process,traffic congestion,air pollution,global warming and other issues brought by urban traffic are becoming more and more serious.As an environment-friendly,economic and healthy way of travel,bicycles have gradually become one of the most important means of transportation for short and medium travel in the world.However,as one of the vulnerable groups in road traffic,bicycle accidents also occur frequently with the widespread use of bicycles.With the most complex traffic environment in the road system,intersections are also the high incidence spots of traffic accidents.Once cyclists have accidents at the intersection,it will often cause more serious consequences.Therefore,in order to ensure the travel safety of cyclists,it is necessary to comprehensively study different kinds of factors that affect the occurrence of bicycle accidents at intersections comprehensively.This paper explores the influencing factors of bicycle accidents at intersections,and analyzes the effect of bicycle safety facilities at intersections on bicycle accidents,taking the London bicycle travel system as the research object.Based on the existing research and literature,this paper summarizes the relevant factors and measures that may affect bicycle safety at intersections;collects and arranges the traffic volume data,accident data,socio-economic and demographic data,built environment data and other basic data of London intersections to build a bicycle traffic accident analysis database.This paper first studies the Bayesian conditional autoregressive model with spatial correlation.Taking London as an example,the traditional traffic safety analysis models and the Bayesian model are used to analyze the influencing factors of bicycle accidents,identify the important factors affecting the frequency of bicycle accidents at intersections,and compare the goodness of fit of the traditional models and spatial Bayesian model.Secondly,this paper introduces the concept of the bicycle safety facility group at intersections,and divides the intersections into treatment groups and control groups according to whether there is a bicycle safety facility group.The effect of the bicycle safety facility group on bicycle accidents is evaluated by the propensity score matching method.The results show that the bicycle facility group,as a comprehensive whole,can effectively reduce the occurrence of bicycle accidents at intersections. |
