In recent years,the global automotive industry has faced enormous pressure,both in production and sales,due to the dual pressures of economic downturns and pandemics.However,China’s automotive industry has continued to grow rapidly against this backdrop.As a representative of the integration of innovative technologies in the information technology and automotive industries,the Internet of Vehicles(Io V)is the key to competition in the international automotive industry,and "5G+Io V" is a key direction for China’s "5G new infrastructure" initiative.With traditional car companies and new players investing heavily,the "technology company + car company" model has become almost standard,building intelligent application platforms with openness and scalability.Clarifying one’s strategic direction in the increasingly fierce market competition has become the top priority for improving the development of Io V enterprises.Changqi Company,formerly known as the Electronic Computing Department of a group company,became independent and established itself as Changqi Company in2000.In 2004,it completed its transformation to a joint-stock company and was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2008.Its main business area is electronic software related to automotive accessories.Changqi Company entered the field of Io V relatively early as a subsidiary of the group,gradually accumulating relevant experience and technological reserves with the development of the group’s Io V business.Therefore,in the early stages of entering the market,it received good reviews and performance from multiple cooperative enterprises.However,as market competition intensified,Changqi Company was unable to keep up with the market pace quickly.Due to unclear product positioning and a lack of corresponding investment,it did not develop its own products or product lines and its competitive ability continued to decline.This resulted in a slowdown in growth and a decline in market share,despite the favorable market environment for Io V business.Faced with the continuous reduction of cooperative enterprises,Changqi Company should quickly adjust its strategic direction,seize the opportunity in the trend of intelligent and digital transformation,and reverse the situation.This paper focuses on the development strategy of Changqi Information Technology Company’s connected car business,using knowledge of strategic management theory to explore the company’s development strategy.Based on an analysis of the current status of Changqi’s connected car business,the paper identifies the problems and underlying causes in the company’s operations.In the PEST analysis,the paper details the political,social,cultural,economic,and technological environment in which Changqi’s connected car products operate.Currently,all provinces and regions in China are promoting the "digitalization,intelligence,and connectivity" of the automobile industry,and the government is continuously introducing policies to support related industries.Changqi should seize the policy opportunities,strengthen its layout in the field of connected cars through self-development and cooperation with suppliers,continuously master core technologies,and strive to gain a technological advantage in areas such as intelligent driving,automatic driving,and human-machine interaction after obtaining driving data,thereby improving product competitiveness.In the SWOT analysis,the paper compares and analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of Changqi’s connected car products,as well as the threats and opportunities facing the company.Compared with its own weaknesses and threats,Changqi should use its first-mover advantage and long-term technological accumulation rationally,rely on the strong support of the parent company,and win ample time for its own transformation,leading the strategy and products ahead of the market and seizing the initiative in the blue ocean market of connected cars.Based on the above analysis,Changqi should formulate the following strategies: to lay out intelligent cabins,automatic driving and other fields through data and technological accumulation,enhance core technological competitiveness,and create new connected car products;stabilize the internal market,explore external opportunities,enrich customer groups,and strive to stand up and go out;enhance market awareness and effectively promote Changqi,making it well-known in the industry;and implement internal reforms to improve self-management capabilities for implementing strategies.Through the research of this topic,this paper provides guidance for Changqi on how to effectively utilize its own conditions and positioning in its business strategy in the future.
