The Study On Landscape Art Of Wanzhu Garden In Jinan

Wanzhu Garden is located in the west of Baotu Spring Park,the world’s first spring scenic area,dates back centuries.The Wanzhu Garden’s new setup has formed by Zhang Huaizhi directed construction of his private Garden during the Republican period.There are two sets of courtyards and a garden which is the east courtyard and the west courtyard,including five bridges and four pavilions,as well as four spring ponds,namely Wangshui Spring,Baiyun Spring,Donggao Spring and Quanting.It is a residential garden that combines the characteristics of Beijing Wangfu Garden,southern private gardens,and Jinan quadrangle dwellings.Wanzhu Garden was selected as one of the "Eighth Batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units" approved by the State Council in 2019.Wanzhu Garden is one of the few classical private gardens in Jinan that have been inherited to this day,and the artistic and cultural values embedded in its history and gardening are the realistic mapping of the natural,social and humanistic elements of Jinan’s gardens,which has important research value.According to the current situation of Wanzhu Garden and the characteristics of garden art,the study can be roughly divided into the following three parts:(1)Research on the historical context: This paper,by collecting the county annals,local chronicles,literary collections and relevant poetic materials of Wanzhu Garden in Jinan since the Yuan Dynasty,combs the historical evolution of Wanzhu Garden from the Yuan Dynasty to the present.Through the sorting and analysis of the owner and the evolution of the garden,briefly describes its historical gardening techniques and art,and explores the factors and laws of its historical evolution;(2)Research on the gardening art: Drawing the site plan and summarizing the spatial form characteristics of Wanzhu Garden.The study focuses on the gardening techniques,finding the inner logic and meaning of the gardening of Wanzhu Garden.By studying the elements of gardening such as landscape,architecture,plants and decoration in Wanzhu Garden,analyzing the rockery,springs,pools and drains,compiling statistics on ancient trees,plant configurations,plaques,couplets,carvings and other decorations in the garden,completed the investigation and creation study of the main elements of gardening in Wanzhu Garden.(3)Summary of garden style: On the basis of systematic analysis of garden elements,spatial forms and gardening techniques of Wanzhu Garden,Wanzhu Garden is compared with Jinan gardens to find the inherent correlation between the gardening style of Wanzhu Garden and the local gardens of Jinan,and to explore the spring garden style it represents;and to compare the spatial layout,gardening techniques,architectural forms,decorative colors and plants and flowers with the gardens of the South and the North to explore the representation and connotation of the "transitional gardens of the South and the North" it represents.Finally,based on three parts of this study,Summarizing the historical,cultural and artistic conservation values,proposing strategies for the preservation of the courtyard architecture and the enhancement of the landscape of Wanzhu Garden.Based on the characteristics of the gardening art of Wanzhu Garden,the artistic heritage of the garden is summarized in the three dimensions of overall space,individual space,and historical time and space.In this way,the historical and theoretical perspective of landscape gardening is used to fill the gaps in the research of gardening changes,spatial forms and gardening art in Wanzhu Garden,to promote the local gardening style,and to help Jinan Spring Water Culture go global.
