With the rapid advancement of technology, digitization, intelligentization, and informatization have become the standard configuration for modern enterprises to improve and expand.Whether from the perspective of the country or the standpoint of enterprises, digital transformation of traditional enterprises has become an essential step, which also aligns with the national goal of building a digital powerhouse. In terms of policies, the 14 th Five-Year Plan clearly indicates that China needs to accelerate the development of digitization, prioritize the digital economy, and prioritize the transformation of enterprise digitization as a crucial aspect of the country’s next stage of development. In existing research, few Chinese scholars have combined case studies to explore the impact of digitalization on working capital management in the supply chain.Against this backdrop, this thesis establishes a connection between the concepts of supply chain, digitization, and working capital by studying the digitalization progress of Midea Group’s supply chain and its performance in working capital management.By summarizing the implementation path of Midea Group’s supply chain digitalization on working capital management and analyzing the impact of Midea Group’s supply chain digitalization on the performance of working capital management, this thesis draws corresponding conclusions and insights, which can provide practical and theoretical significance. As a leader in the home appliance industry,Midea Group is one of the earliest domestic enterprises to implement supply chain digitization. It has been continuously improving its digital capabilities through various means, keeping pace with the times and achieving great success, maintaining its position as a leading figure in the industry. The case of Midea Group is representative, thus this thesis selects it as the research object.Firstly, this thesis provides a simple review and summary of previous relevant studies, and constructs a theoretical framework based on supply chain management theory, value chain theory, and stakeholder theory, focusing on the effects of supply chain digitization on enterprise operational capital management performance.Secondly, starting with the basic situation of Midea Group, the thesis analyzes the motivation for implementing supply chain digitization, and combines it with specific measures to analyze the implementation path of the impact of supply chain digitization on operational capital management.Thirdly, based on relevant theories, this thesis calculates and analyzes the operational capital management performance of Midea Group from 2015 to 2021 using operational capital management performance indicators based on factors and channels. Finally, this thesis believes that supply chain digitization can promote the improvement of enterprise operational capital management performance and can to some extent reduce the risks in enterprise capital operations. In addition, through this research, some successful experiences are summarized, providing reference for other enterprises in the home appliance industry. When conducting supply chain digitization, enterprises should consider their own characteristics, focus on efficiency and cost, optimize and integrate enterprise resources through technology-driven means to improve operational capital management performance.
