| Smart waterways are a new research and construction direction for waterway informatization derived from the development of intelligent shipping.Relevant research and engineering construction have rapidly developed nationwide, but there is a lack of support for intelligent navigation of ships. When checking the information of navigation aids in real navigation channels, channel staff usually need a long time to search for information of navigation aids from the database based on their positions.Traditional navigation methods, such as maps and GPS,are often inefficient and difficult to combine with real-world scenarios.Augmented reality(AR)technology can intuitively overlay information in real scenes through display devices to provide target information reading and navigation assistance, such as route planning, navigation warnings, and route optimization. At present,China’s shipbuilding industry is vigorously promoting ship informatization. Some scholars have studied augmented reality assistance systems in offshore areas, but this research is still in its infancy in the field of inland waterways. The main shortcomings of relevant research include:Firstly, there has not been significant progress in the application of augmented reality assisted cruise control systems on ships in inland waterways;secondly,The real-time matching of real and digital objects is not necessary in marine areas, but the rich environmental information of inland waterways requires this function; Finally,The inland waterway needs to have a ship shore collaborative information exchange function. In response to these situations, this article proposes a relatively comprehensive and feasible ship reality cruise control system based on augmented reality application in inland waterways. The main tasks include:(1)Identification of objects in inland waterways.Collect target sample data of the waterway, determine a suitable deep learning recognition model, and select appropriate training parameters for channel target recognition for training.(2)Distance measurement of channel markers.Different ranging methods have been adopted for different objects on the waterway, such as bridges, navigation aids, and ships.(3)Real time matching between live and digital objects. The innovation points of this article mainly include: the application of augmented reality technology in the real scene cruise of inland waterways;Real time matching between live and digital objects;Collaborative information exchange between ships and banks in inland waterways. This system can provide augmented reality environment views and navigation assistance, achieve object matching, and combine coastal information to achieve ship shore collaboration. It can be considered reliable and accurate, and can provide users with convenient, efficient, and reliable services during navigation in inland waterways.By displaying real-life cruise information, users are provided with richer environmental information and an immersive interactive experience with the environment during inland navigation. |
