| Hydraulic oil is commonly used as the main working medium in hydraulic systems due to its abilities to transfer energy, prevent rust, lubricate, resist corrosion, and cool down. The state and performance of the hydraulic oil directly affect the operation of the hydraulic system. If the hydraulic oil is polluted due to improper use or management,it will directly affect the stability, transmission efficiency, and component life of the hydraulic system. Therefore,it is of great research significance to monitor the pollution of hydraulic oil in real-time.However,current oil particle detection instruments generally have high lower limits for particle size and low detection efficiency, and cannot provide information on the particle size distribution. To address the shortcomings of current optical detection instruments for oil particles, this article proposes an online detection method for hydraulic oil particles based on the extinction method, and develops a corresponding online detection system.Firstly, based on the Mie scattering theory algorithm, the relationship between the refractive index, extinction coefficient, and dimensionless size parameters of different particles in hydraulic oil was studied using Matlab software programming. The theoretical model for detecting particle concentration in oil using the extinction method was established based on the basic detection principle of the extinction method.Using the distribution function expression method,a theoretical model for the particle size distribution was established. In this model, the Powell optimization algorithm was used for multi-wavelength numerical simulation of the particle size distribution theoretical model, and the simulation results showed that this particle size distribution inversion algorithm has reliable accuracy.Secondly,an online detection system for hydraulic oil particles based on the extinction method was developed, including an optical system, sampling system, signal processing system, power supply system, and upper computer.By integrating and debugging each part, the coordinated work between the subsystems was realized. At the same time, the calibration of the online detection using the weighing method was carried out to determine the internal calibration curve of the system. Finally, the calibrated online detection system was used to test simulated main particle samples in hydraulic oil,and the results were compared with those of foreign instruments for the same samples to determine the accuracy of the hydraulic oil particle online detection system based on the extinction method. |
