To meet the requirements of design and energy consumption,it is very meaningful to predict the performance of centrifugal pump.At present,the experiment with numerical simulation prediction is the main research method.In the simulation calculation of centrifugal pump,people ’s requirements for its calculation accuracy are constantly improving.Not only has a higher standard in performance calculation,but also requires the simulation results to be more in line with the actual three-dimensional internal flow characteristics of centrifugal pump at the micro level.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the factors affecting the simulation results in the numerical simulation process.The main research of this paper is as follows :1.Firstly,the computational domain of GSC40-125 centrifugal pump is modeled,and the computational performance of different automatic mesh types in simulation is compared.It is found that the computational speed and accuracy of polyhedron mesh is better than tetrahedral mesh.Subsequently,the appropriate discrete algorithm was debugged in the open source software Open FOAM,and the calculation results of Open FOAM and Fluent in centrifugal pump were compared.The results show that Open FOAM is not inferior to the mature commercial software in the performance prediction of centrifugal pump,which can be used as a development direction to improve the accuracy of simulation calculation.Finally,the simulation results of four different rotation domains are compared in Fluent.It is found that different rotation domain division schemes will also significantly affect the final calculation accuracy.2.The internal flow characteristics under different rotating domain schemes are analyzed,and the external characteristics,internal flow characteristics,pressure fluctuation characteristics and vortex structure distribution are compared.It is found that the flow characteristics under different schemes are quite different,and the pressure fluctuation characteristics and vortex structure distribution are also significantly different.3.The multiphase flow calculation of centrifugal pump is further extended to study the influence of different rotating domains on the cavitation characteristics of centrifugal pump.The cavitation calculation settings are briefly introduced,and then the cavitation characteristic curves and cavitation flow fields of different rotating domains are analyzed.
