Research On Urban Wilderness Landscape Design Based On Aesthetic Preference

At present,the rapid development of urbanization in China is constantly squeezing urban natural space,leading to the loss of structure and function of urban ecosystem.As urban intensive development asks for the reuse of inefficient urban lands taking various interests into consideration and the multiple values of urban wilderness landscape are explored constantly,urban wilderness landscape has gained more and more attention in academic research and urban practice,and entered people’s aesthetic.Although in-depth studies have been conducted over the ecological value and aesthetic theory of urban wilderness landscape,considering that urban residents are the direct stakeholders of urban wilderness landscape,only by understanding and satisfying their aesthetic needs can wilderness landscape better integrate into urban life and give full play to its ecological value.For this reason,it is necessary to explore approaches from aesthetic perspective to balance the ecological protection and human development of urban wilderness landscape,and figure out the type of urban wilderness landscape meeting residents’ aesthetic preference,so as to improve the theoretical research of wilderness aesthetics and aesthetic preference for urban wilderness landscape design,and apply it to urban wilderness landscape design.This aims to promote the realization of the multiple values of urban wilderness landscape,and enrich urban landscape types and historical and cultural expression elements.In view of this,the thesis,starting from the aesthetic value of urban wilderness landscape,studied ways to understand the aesthetic value of urban wilderness landscape with appropriate aesthetic theory and the type of urban wilderness landscape meeting residents’ preference.First,it analyzed the aesthetic characteristics of urban wilderness landscape based on ecological aesthetics and the aesthetic theory of ecological civilization,and summarized the external image and connotation of urban wilderness landscape ecological value,providing aesthetic object for people to appreciate urban wilderness landscape.On this basis and combined with previous studies,the subject and object characteristics affecting the aesthetic preference of urban residents in wilderness landscape were summarized,and through a questionnaire survey of urban residents,conclusions were drawn regarding people’s cognition and attitude towards urban wilderness landscape,their general preference for urban wilderness landscape characteristics and the aesthetic differences caused by social background.Furthermore,the design strategy of urban wilderness landscape meeting both ecological value and aesthetic value was summarized based on the above aesthetic characteristics of urban wilderness landscape and conclusion of residents’ aesthetic preference.Finally,the relevant research results were applied to the abandoned steel plant in Xuzhou.The project team the author works with was required by Party A to plan and transform the industrial facilities of the site,which had been dismantled and left idle for a long time after the scheme was determined,becoming a representative urban industrial wilderness landscape.Based on the research results of this thesis and starting from the perspective of urban wilderness aesthetics and residents’ different aesthetic preference,the author followed part of the original project positioning and architectural demolition strategy,and re-planned and designed the site,hoping to provide certain practical reference for the protection and utilization of urban wilderness landscape.
