Research On The Design Of Landscape Space For The Elderly In Urban Parks Based On Age-friendly

“Actively implement the national strategy to deal with population aging.” The report of the20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China once again mentioned the issue of aging.In recent years,population aging has always been a hot topic of concern to the whole society,and the living needs and quality of life of the elderly have been paid more and more attention by all walks of life.The urban park is an important place for the leisure and entertainment of the elderly.The needs of the elderly should be considered in the design of various landscape spaces.According to the author ’s investigation and understanding,many urban parks in China do not take into account the needs of the elderly,but only focus on the design itself.There are still many uncomfortable phenomena in the park ’s activity space,various landscape facilities and public service facilities.Therefore,the author takes the landscape space in urban parks as the research object of this paper,combines relevant disciplines,basic theories and excellent cases at home and abroad,and starts from the use needs of the physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly,a special group,to study and explore the design of landscape space suitable for the elderly in urban parks.Firstly,this paper summarizes the research status at home and abroad on the two aspects of elderly-friendly and urban parks and elderly-friendly landscape space,and clarifies the research content and methods of this paper.Secondly,it analyzes the physiological,psychological and social needs of the elderly,and studies and analyzes the types,time and place of activities of the elderly group to better meet the needs of the elderly in urban parks.Through the excellent cases of landscape space design for the elderly at home and abroad,this paper studies and analyzes the three aspects of barrier-free design,horticultural therapy design and activity space design,and summarizes the reference significance of landscape space for the elderly.Based on the excellent cases and related theoretical research of landscape space design for the elderly at home and abroad,the principles and methods of landscape space design for the elderly in urban parks are put forward.Finally,the author takes Changchun Deyuan as an example to carry out the design practice of urban park landscape space for the elderly.Based on the combination of questionnaire survey and field interview,the basic situation,activity characteristics and evaluation of the existing landscape space of the elderly visiting the park are summarized.On the basis of the current situation investigation,the author optimizes the design of the landscape space suitable for the elderly in Changchun Deyuan Park from three aspects : the design of the functional activity space suitable for the elderly,the barrier-free design of public facilities and the design of landscape plants suitable for the elderly.To sum up,this paper puts forward the principles of humanization,easy to reach,safety,easy to identify,ecological nature and easy to communicate.Combining theoretical research with practical research results,Changchun Deyuan Park is designed through the space design of functional activities for the elderly,the barrier-free design of the park,and the design of landscape plants for the elderly.It alleviates a series of problems such as the limited outdoor activities of the elderly around the park and even the elderly in Changchun,the lack of public facilities for the elderly,and the weak adaptability of the landscape environment to the elderly.Through this design research,it is expected to better promote the development of the elderly in outdoor activity space,so that more people begin to pay attention to the importance of elderly-friendly urban parks for the elderly,and also hope to provide reference for promoting the research and practice of the elderly-friendly urban park landscape space in the future.
