The light environment inside and outside the tunnel is significantly different, which will affect the driving safety of drivers.Once an accident occurs in the tunnel,it will cause huge losses. Therefore, relying on the National Natural Science Foundation of China project "Research on the Mechanism of Tunnel Drivers’ Visual Perception under Dynamic Changes of Field of View and Contrast"(approval number: 52108361),this thesis explores driving under tunnel light environment by carrying out real vehicle tests and tunnel light environment collection tests. The characteristics of field of view contrast and the characteristics of visual perception are analyzed, and the influence of field of view contrast on the visual perception under the tunnel light environment is analyzed. The mathematical model is also used to further quantify the relationship between the contrast ratio of the field of view and various visual perception indicators. The mathematical model is also used to further quantify the relationship between the field of view contrast and various visual perception indicators. Finally, based on the drivers’ visual perception characteristics, the corresponding optimization measures of tunnel light environment are put forward. The main research contents and conclusions of this thesis are as follows:(1)By analyzing the distribution characteristics of environmental elements in different sections of the tunnel and the distribution characteristics of road surface brightness, the characteristics of the tunnel light environment change are obtained, that is,the tunnel light environment presents non-uniform and irregular dynamic changes in the vertical direction.(2)The real vehicle test and the tunnel light environment collection test were used to obtain the distribution position of the driver’s gaze point and the tunnel brightness data respectively, and then obtain the driver’s gaze point as the center The 2° field of view and the brightness change of the 20° field of view can be used to obtain the contrast of the driver’s field of view and its dynamic change characteristics in the tunnel light environment. The analysis shows that the driver’s field of view contrast and its dynamic changes in different sections of the tunnel are significantly different.(3)Based on the real vehicle test, the driver’s pupil diameter, glance time, and glance amplitude and other eye movement parameter data are obtained, and these data are screened to obtain the changes in the driver’s pupil diameter change rate, average glance time, and average glance speed.Changes in visual perception indicators, and use the one-way variance test and non-parametric test to test the differences of these three indicators,so as to obtain the driver’s visual perception characteristics in the tunnel light environment. There are significant differences in the driver’s visual perception in each section of the tunnel. At the entrance and exit of the tunnel, the driver’s visual perception reaction will be more intense, while in the middle section it will be relatively weaker.(4)On the basis of comparative analysis of the driver’s field of view contrast characteristics and visual perception features, the influence of the driver’s field of view contrast on the visual perception features is briefly analyzed;then based on regression analysis, the field of view contrast and visual perception are respectively established. The index model deepens the relationship between field of view contrast and visual perception.Under the tunnel light environment, the driver’s field of view contrast affects the driver’s visual perception, but the effect of the field of view contrast on the driver’s visual perception is not that the greater the contrast of the field of view, the stronger the driver’s visual perception reaction. When field of view contrast of view exceeds After a certain value, visual perception behavior of the driver will converge instead.(5)According to the threshold value of the visual perception index that makes the driver in a comfortable driving state, and combining with the research results, the optimal ratio range of the brightness inside and outside the tunnel is obtained, and then based on this ratio range, the optimization measures of highway tunnel light environment are proposed from two aspects of light reduction outside the tunnel and light control inside the tunnel.
