| With the continued social and economic growth and the continued increase in the number of cars,the problem of traffic blocks emerges more and more in cities.Intersections are important nodes that influence traffic flows,and traffic flows are an important factor that affects traffic flows at intersections.Conduct a traffic survey of the left,which is able to effectively reduce congestion on the left side while waiting at intersections.It adopts a process of training,which improves traffic efficiency by placing left turns in the waiting area and is widely used at intersections in major cities.At home and abroad,individual investigations are conducted on the known traffic flows through alternate turns,the setting method and conditions of the left turn waiting area,and the timing of traffic lights.However,for an intersection with a left-turn waiting area,the calculation methods of its traffic capacity and average vehicle delay should be different from those of conventional intersections,and its signal timing method should also be changed accordingly.Therefore,to improve the traffic efficiency of the intersection in the left-turn waiting area,it is necessary to carry out in-depth research on the optimization of signal timing parameters for this type of intersection.Considering the traffic characteristics of vehicle arrival,parking,conflict,and queuing of left-turn traffic flow,the conditions and methods for setting left-turn waiting areas are analyzed from three aspects of intersection geometric design,traffic flow,and signal control.Based on the assumption of random arrival of vehicles,and the basis of the existing model,corrected left-turn lane capacity and average delay models.To check the model,a multi-objective optimization model has been established to maximize traffic capacity at intersections and minimize average vehicle delays.The multi-objective function is transformed into a single-objective function by the objective programming method.Taking the intersection of Shanxi Road and Changsha Road in Qingdao as an example,the signal timing optimization model of the intersection in the left-turn waiting area is solved based on MATLAB software programming particle swarm algorithm,and the Vissim simulation model is used to compare the simulation results with the model calculation results.Studies have shown that although the time parameters are calculated by the optimization model The research shows that although the timing parameters calculated by the optimized model reduce the traffic capacity of the intersection slightly,it has significantly reduced the average traffic delay in exchange for a significant reduction in the average traffic delay.The optimized system has great advantages in intersection integration capability and overall average delay. |
