Revitalisation Design Of A Public Space Complex In A Traditional Village Theatre In Northern Guangxi

Stage architecture is an important part of traditional architecture in China,an indispensable architectural form of rural public space,a carrier for the generation and continuation of local memories,and a microcosm of the spirit of the times and regional folklore.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,northern Guangxi accepted the culture of the Central Plains earlier,which brought about the prosperity and development of traditional Chinese opera arts such as Dong Opera and Color Tune Opera,and finally achieved the national style of "every village has a stage,and every village must have a stage".However,after the end of the Qing Dynasty,it was influenced by uncontrollable factors,which had an impact on sacrificial culture and traditional Chinese opera culture,resulting in a sharp decrease in stage buildings.According to the investigation,it is found that the stage in traditional villages in northern Guangxi is abandoned,damaged and the degree of functional alienation is gradually increasing,which leads to the imminent protection and restoration of stage buildings.Therefore,the research on the public space of the stage in the traditional villages in northern Guangxi is of great guiding significance to the effective inheritance of its national culture and has important practical significance to the inheritance of its stage culture from generation to generation.Based on the public space of the stage in traditional villages in northern Guangxi,this paper analyzes the changes of the stage architectural space in northern Guangxi according to the regional development and the background of the times.Based on literature and field investigation,this paper analyzes the geographical conditions,folk culture,historical evolution and existing situation of traditional villages in northern Guangxi,and establishes a research basis for the activation design of public space of northern Guangxi stage.Secondly,through combing the evolution of the space shape and function of the stage space in northern Guangxi in different periods,this paper analyzes the changes of the type,shape and decoration of the stage building under the influence of natural,humanistic and social factors from the architectural point of view,summarizes the causes of the evolution of the stage building in northern Guangxi,and puts forward the design scheme accordingly,which provides a theoretical basis for the activation design of the public space of the stage in northern Guangxi.This paper puts forward that the activation of the public space of the stage in traditional villages should not be limited to simply retaining the original material space,nor is it a complete replica of the construction mode of the traditional stage.In view of the current situation that the living space of the stage building is rapidly compressed,we should grasp its internal order and extract its spiritual core.This kind of activation design can not only awaken the memory of its rural public space,but also integrate the production and life of rural residents,make the stage space function compound,build a dynamic and sustainable traditional village public space,and make villagers have a specific sense of identity and belonging to this architectural form.
