| There is a lot of energy in highways,which is often overlooked,especially wind energy generated by the wake of traffic.Anti-glare panels along highways play an important role in the safety of highways by blocking harsh lights from vehicles facing them at night.However,existing anti-glare panels do not have the ability to collect wind energy.At present,the traditional highway wind energy collection equipment is not perfect.There are still many problems,such as low power generation efficiency,difficult to replace equipment,easy to cause environmental pollution and so on.There is an urgent need to develop a wind energy harvesting system to properly capture the energy of moving vehicles on highways.Inspired by the anti-glare panels on highways,an array of wind energy harvesting triboelectric nanogenerators(TENG)is developed in this paper,which can be used to collect the wind energy generated by the passing vehicles on highways.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)A triboelectric nanogenerator with grid structure is designed based on the independent layer mode,and a rotating fan blade of Savonius type is designed,which accords with the aerodynamic law.There is a gap of 0.5 mm between the friction layer of the rotor and the stator,and the soft contact friction between the two,which minimizes the wear caused by the material for a long time.The triplet electrode structure is introduced to supplement the charge of friction layer continuously.Moreover,the performance of the TENG does not decrease after1440,000 consecutive operation of the device.(2)The AG-TENG is further optimized.Electrical output properties such as short-circuit current,open-circuit voltage and charge transfer at different wind speeds were tested.When the matching resistance is 100MΩ,the maximum instantaneous peak power of a single device reaches 4m W.Compared with similar work,the output power per unit wind speed is increased by 12.2 times.(3)In order to collect wind energy on highways,a reasonable array design is carried out for TENG.One unit of the system is a modular soft contact triboelectric nanogenerator.The entire AG-TENG device is composed of three separate TENG modules,each of which has no influence on the other.This study provides a strategy to reasonably collect highway wind energy in the absence of natural wind conditions by using the existing infrastructure,and uses the existing highway infrastructure as an energy generator to provide largescale power supply strategy for smarter and safer highways.It has broad application prospects in distributed environment monitoring,intelligent highway,Internet of Things and so on. |
