Research On Ge-stell As A Formal Generation Method

This article originates from the reflection on the core category of architecture-"form".We live in a world of concrete things,especially in architecture where the concept of ’form’discusses very specific issues.The form of architecture is real,tangible,and concrete.In this rapidly changing computer age,a large amount of information has created a symbolic and graphical artificial world.If we ignore the complexity of architecture and only regard it as an abstract formal cloak,it will make architectural creation fall into the quagmire of expressionism.In this context,architecture,as a comprehensive architectural art,urgently needs to "rescue" the completeness of formal meaning,pay attention to the hidden fate of architecture,and continuously trace back to the understanding and expression of the essence of architectural form in architectural creation.Starting from the concept of philosophy phenomenology,this paper tries to expand the concretization of Ge stell in architectural design and operation by focusing on its thinking in architectural space and acting on the method of building form generation.And taking Peter Zumto as the research object,through the analysis of his ideas and works,we gradually deepen our understanding of "collective placement" and attempt to establish a formal view of "collective placement" guiding generation in the architectural design process.This article proposes to view the completion of architecture as a process of object generation,and to further understand the comprehensive construction process surrounding the building generation process under the guidance and guidance of the concept of aggregation,which involves the collaborative efforts of various elements.Peter Zumto proposed that form is a derived rather than a given concept,and does not focus on objectified forms.However,the results of form are taken from various depths from history to experience,which can better verify the development concept of form and break the formalization of architectural design methods.Zumtuo pursues the overall form of architecture,and the completed building needs to achieve a comprehensive object that is interconnected and inseparable in appearance and structure,function and independent details.Both in the establishment of design concepts and the presentation of construction,the organic organization and control of the details and interrelationships of various elements under a unified and complete concept form a real and composite entity.Architectural design is a comprehensive and rich product of long-term research,a sublimation of the complexity intertwined inside and outside.In this process,through the author’s repeated understanding of things,the collective operation presents a mutually independent and restrained relationship between the "obvious" and "hidden" forms.The "form" is generated and realized through the joint operation of avoiding but not showing and showing but not hiding.This article takes "Ge tell" as a formal generation method,starting from the operational mechanism of technology.The purpose is to explore all aspects of architectural form;Trace and analyze the sources of visible forms,reveal the invisible factors behind the generation of architectural forms,discuss the reasons and significance for the "formation" of buildings,and use Zumtuo’s comprehensive architectural case to deduce and demonstrate.The intention is to have an essential understanding of the concept of "form" in the context of architecture,and to use this research experience to reflect and guide daily architectural and spatial design practices.
