Effects Of Fermented Lysozyme Uptake On Intestinal Morphology And Antioxidant Capacity Of Egg-chicks-An Antibiotic Substitution Trial

In this study,we investigated the effects of supplementation with fermented lysozyme in diet and drinking water on the growth performance,intestinal morphology,serum biochemical indicators and intestinal antioxidant function of egg-chicks.720 6-dayold healthy and similar-weighted Jingfen No.1 chicks were randomly divided into 4 groups.Each group had 6 repetitions and each repetition had 30 egg-chicks.The control group was fed a corn-soybean meal-based basal diet.The aureomycin group was added 30 mg/kg aureomycin to the basal diet,and virginiamycin group was added 20 mg/kg virginiamycin.In the fermented lysozyme group,1 g/kg solid lysozyme was added to the basic diet and 1L/ton liquid fermented lysozyme was added to the drinking water.The experiment period was 42 days.By measuring growth performance indicators such as body weight and average daily weight gain of egg chicks,intestinal morphological indicators such as villi height,crypt depth and villi crypt ratio,serum biochemical indicators such as BUN and UA,total SOD activity,MDA and other antioxidant indicators,we have explored the effect of supplementation with fermented lysozyme in diet and drinking water by replacing antibiotics on the growth performance,intestinal morphology,serum biochemical indicators and intestinal antioxidant function of egg-chicks.The results showed that: 1)ADG,ADFI,FCR and body weight of fermented lysozyme group and aureomycin group were not significantly different from those of the control group at the end of day 21(P>0.05).The body weight and ADG of virginiamycin group were significantly higher than those of fermented lysozyme group(P<0.05).From 1 to 42 days,in terms of body weight and ADG,virginiamycin group was significantly higher than control group and fermented lysozyme group(P<0.05),and fermented lysozyme group was not significantly different from aureomycin group(P> 0.05).In terms of ADFI and FCR,there was no significant difference between the groups(P> 0.05).It can be seen that under the conditions of this experiment,fermented lysozyme has no significant effect on the body weight,daily weight gain,daily feed intake and weight gain ratio of the egg-chicks.Aureomycin had no effect on the growth performance of laying chicks,while virginiamycin had a promoting effect on the growth performance of egg-chicks.2)Compared with the control group,fermented lysozyme group can significantly increase the duodenum and jejunum organ indexes of eggs-chicks(P<0.05).Similarly,the duodenal and jejunal organ indexes of fermented lysozyme group were significantly higher than those of aureomycin group(P<0.05).It can be seen that the addition of fermented lysozyme to the diet can increase the duodenum and jejunum indices of the egg-chicks,and have a certain promotion effect on the development of the duodenum and jejunum of the eggchicks.3)Compared with the control group,the serum biochemical indicators in the other groups had no significant effect(P>0.05).It can be seen that fermented lysozyme to the diet can maintain the health level of the body to a certain extent.4)Compared with the control group,the duodenal villus height and villous crypt ratio of fermented lysozyme group were significantly increased(P<0.01).The villus height of duodenum in fermented lysozyme group was significantly higher than that in virginiamycin group and aureomycin group(P<0.05),but there was no significant change in the villous crypt ratio.Compared with the control group,the villus crypts ratio of jejunum in fermented lysozyme group and the virginiamycin group was significantly increased(P<0.01).The depth of ileal crypts in fermented lysozyme group was significantly higher than in virginiamycin and aureomycin groups(P<0.01).It can be seen that fermented lysozyme can increase the villus height of the duodenum and the ratio of villous crypts,reduce the crypts depth of the jejunum,but increase the villous crypts ratio in the jejunum,which could improve the intestinal morphology and structure,and promote the growth and development of the anterior small intestine.5)Compared with the control group,the total antioxidant capacity of fermented lysozyme group and antibiotic groups did not change significantly on the duodenum(P>0.05),while the MDA content in fermented lysozyme group and aureomycin group significantly decreased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the total antioxidant capacity of the jejunum in fermented lysozyme group and antibiotic group was significantly improved(P<0.05);the MDA content in the jejunum tissue of fermented lysozyme group had a significant decrease(P=0.038).Compared with the control group,the total antioxidant capacity of the liver tissues of fermented lysozyme group and the antibiotic groups was significantly improved(P<0.05);but the content of MDA in the liver tissues of virginiamycin group was significantly increased(P<0.05).It can be seen that fermented lysozyme can increase the intestinal and liver antioxidant capacity to a certain extent,which is beneficial to animal health,promoting the intestinal development of animals and enhancing the body’s antioxidant capacity.In summary,although supplementation with fermented lysozyme in diet and drinking water had no significant effect on the growth of egg-chicks,it could increase the duodenum and jejunum indices of egg-chicks,increase the height of small intestine villi and the villi crypts ratio and improve the intestinal morphology.Dietary fermented lysozyme promoted intestinal development,improved the antioxidant capacity of the intestine and liver and maintained the health of the body.
