| Pesticides can prevent pests and weeds,ensuring agricultural production safety,and achieving high and stable yields.However,excessive use of pesticides will cause many adverse effects on the quality of agricultural products and the ecological environment.In order to balance the contradiction between agricultural production development and ecological environmental protection,the former Ministry of Agriculture formulated the "Action Plan for Zero Growth in Pesticide Use by 2020" in2015;the No.1 Central Document in 2021 also mentioned It is necessary to continue to promote the reduction of pesticides to increase efficiency and promote the prevention and control of crop diseases and insect pests products and technologies,accelerate agricultural modernization,and achieve high-quality agricultural development.Navel orange pesticide reduction technology refers to a comprehensive control technology that effectively integrates orchard cultivation measures,physical control methods,chemical control methods,and biological control techniques to minimize the use of pesticides to ensure agricultural production safety and achieve high-quality agricultural development.This article studies the adoption of pesticide reduction technology by Gannan navel orange growers to explore the key factors that influence the adoption of the technology by growers.This article takes 283 navel orange growers in southern Jiangxi as the research objects to analyze their adoption of pesticide reduction technologies.The first chapter determines the research method based on the current research background,points out the purpose and significance of the research,and interprets the concept of pesticide reduction technology;the second chapter mainly lists related theories such as information asymmetry theory,farmer behavior theory,and innovation diffusion theory.Read the relevant literature and summarize the research results of previous scholars;Chapter 3 analyzes the status of the navel orange industry,pest control and pesticide use in southern Jiangxi by consulting data and field research;Chapter 4 clarifies the purpose,content and method of the research,Objects,and descriptive statistical analysis of the survey data;Chapter 5 uses the binary Logistic model to explore the basic characteristics of Gannan navel orange growers’ personal characteristics,family production and management characteristics,technology acquisition channels,environmental perception characteristics,and external economic environment characteristics.The impact of its pesticide reduction technology adoption behavior;Chapter VI proposes policy recommendations based on the conclusions.Through descriptive statistical analysis and empirical analysis of the survey data,the following conclusions are drawn: First,the adoption of pesticide reduction technology by growers.The adoption rate of pesticide reduction technology by Gannan navel orange growers is not high,with 48.1% of the farmers growing.Households adopted physical pesticide reduction technology,and only 3.2% of growers adopted biological pesticide reduction technology.Mineral oil control technology is applied in the same way as pesticides,and the control effect is also good.95.1% of the farmers in the survey sample adopted mineral oil control technology.Second,the number of households working in farming and the communication time with technicians significantly negatively affect the adoption of pesticide reduction technology by growers,and the role of the factor of communication time with technicians does not match expectations;technical training,short video platforms,Environmental concern,understanding of pesticide use safety intervals,pesticide residue testing,and contract farming significantly positively affect the adoption of pesticide reduction technology by growers;other variables that fail the significance test do not mean that they have not adopted the technology by growers.The impact of these factors should be comprehensively considered in the actual agricultural technology extension work.In response to the above conclusions,the following policy recommendations are proposed:(1)Technical training should be carried out in different levels and categories.(2)Enrich technical publicity methods and promote pesticide reduction technologies by classification.(3)Improve farmers’ awareness of environmental protection and brand protection.(4)Strengthen pesticide residue testing and improve the quality supervision system.(5)Actively introduce fruit industry companies to participate in the development of the navel orange industry in southern Jiangxi.(6)Actively cultivate social service organizations such as fruit cooperatives.(7)Vigorously develop agricultural technology research and development,so that relevant scientific research results will benefit ordinary people. |
