| Takyric Solonetz is widely distributed in arid and semi-arid areas,with the characteristics of the poor water permeability,high soil compactness and poor soil structure.Increasing soil water infiltration rate and soil structure were the key to sustainable agricultural production in alkaline soil region.To solve these problems,plant shatters were used as research material.Alfalfa shatters(AS),rice shatters(RS)and maize straw shatters(MS)were added at three different addition levels(0.6kg m-2,1.2kg m-2 and 1.8kg m-2)in takyric solonetz soil.Meanwhile,the takyric solonetz soil without any additives was used as the control(CK),The soil water holding capacity,soil porosity,soil compactness,soil bulk density,soil water infiltration rate,water stability of aggregates and soil particle composition were determined under different treatments were measured.To investigate the effected of adding plant shatters on water infiltration performance of takyric solonetz.The main research results were as follows:(1)Different plant shatters and additive amount can improve soil structure.Compared with the control,the addition of plant pulverization increased the content of large aggregates(>2mm)and medium aggregates(0.25-2mm),and decreased the content of micro aggregates(<0.25mm).Under different treatments,the content of particle size of 0.25mm-5mm soil water-stable aggregates increased significantly.The particle size percentage of<0.25mm decreased significantly.In addition,compared with the control,the soil clay content,the geometric mean diameter,mean weight diameter and fractal dimension were increased under the addition of the plant straw shatters.The addition of plant shatters increased soil total porosity and soil non-capillary porosity,but the improvement of soil capillary porosity was non-significant.In comparison,treatments effect of straw was the best at 0.6kg m-2,and the treatment effect of alfalfa was the worst at 1.8kg m-2.(2)Different plant shatters and additive amount improved the soil hydraulics characteristics of takyric solonetz.Compared with the control,the soil saturation moisture content,capillary moisture content and field moisture content in creased under different treatments,but the capillary moisture content increase coefficient was not high,and the field moisture content increased significantly.Soil saturation moisture content increased with the increase of plant shatters content,and the soil capillary moisture content was the maximum under 1.8kg m-2 of the rice shatters treatment,and the soil field moisture content was the minimum under 0.6kg m-2 of the alfalfa shatters treatment.Compared with three straw types,the soil field moisture content was the highest under the rice treatment.The soil bulk density and soil compactness were decreased significantly under the different treatments.(3)Different plant shatters and additive amount were affected soil water infiltration rate.Under 0.6kg m’2 treatment,the addition of plant shatters significantly reduced the soil water infiltration rate compared with control,but the soil water infiltration rate increased with the increase of the plant shatters addition amount.The soil initial infiltration rate was significant different under different treatments.Under 0.6kg m-2 treatment,the change of different kinds of plant shatters was not significant,but it was lower than that of the control.The soil steady infiltration rate reached the maximum under 1.8kg m-2 treatment of alfalfa shatters.Also,it was the minimum under 1.2kg m-2 treatment of rice shatters.Compared with the control,the soil initial water content decreased with the addition of plant shatters.Soil structure and soil hydraulics had significant effects on water infiltration.Geometric mean diameter and mean weight diameter had a significant negative correlation with soil initial infiltration rate,and soil capillary porosity had a significant negative effect on soil steady infiltration rate.Soil bulk density had a significant negative effect on soil water holding capacity,while soil porosity had a significant positive effect on soil water holding capacity.In conclusion,the addition of plant shatters can improve soil structural characteristics,including soil porosity,soil particle composition and soil water-stable aggregates,soil water holding capacity,soil bulk density and soil compactness,and thus increase soil water infiltration rate in takyric solonetz.According to the membership function analysis,rice shatters treatment was the best among the three herbaceous plants shatters under 10 treatments.Compared with the three additives,1.8kg m-2 was the best treatment.This study provides theoretical guidance for improving alkaline soil structure,soil water infiltration and soil utilization efficiency in takyric solonetz. |
