Study On Selection Of Native Greening Tree Species Based On Eye-tracking And EEG

With the development and progress of the times,the landscape style of rural greening has become an important topic.However,native greening tree species have gone through multiple tests such as historical changes and geographical shift,and both in terms of structure and appearance are adapted to the local natural environment.Native tree species not only have strong adaptability and stress resistance,but also are the main targets for the development,utilization and protection of tree species resources.Reasonable utilization can protect the authenticity of the overall landscape features and improve the landscape quality of residential areas,which is of great significance in landscape construction.However,at present,in China’s greening,in order to get enough attention,the proportion and quantity of native greening tree species are relatively small.At present,people seldom consider it from the perspective of landscape preference,which leads to the same greening landscape,the greening effect is far greater than the landscape effect,and the lack of characteristics.On the basis of combing and summarizing the related concepts and research of landscape perception preference,research progress of eye tracking and EEG application,application and selection of native greening tree species at home and abroad,this paper adopts two visual and neuroscience technologies of eye tracking and EEG detection,with the help of Tobii Pro Glasses 2 wearable eye tracker and Mind Wave Mobile EEG headset equipment of NeuroSky Company,Taking the villagers in Changkou village,Fujian Province and the students in Central South University of Forestry and Technology,Hunan Province as experimental objects,they can freely watch the pictures of leaves,flowers and fruits of native tree species,so as to obtain relevant data,and analyze people’s preference for tree species and their organ characteristics by SPSS25.0.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)At the organ level,leaves have the highest attraction,especially aciculiforms,stripes,hearts and leathery leaves;Secondly,flowers,people prefer flowers with capitulums,cymes,panicles,solitary flower inflorescences and purple,white and yellow characteristics.The overall attraction of fruits is relatively low,among which people are more inclined to watch medium-sized fruits with a diameter of 3-5cm,black,red and green fruits are more popular,kidney-shaped,wing-shaped and spherical fruits are more attractive,and pear,pod and samara are paid more attention.(2)On the whole,the visual preference of Calycanthaceae,Ebenaceae,Pinaceae and Magnoliaceae is higher,while Photinia ×fraseri,Metasequoia glyptostroboides,Photinia serratifolia,Cunninghamia lanceolata and Koelreuteria bipinnata have stronger visual attraction,which are the first choice for greening with native tree species.(3)From the eye movement index,the preference difference between villagers and students is not obvious,but the application of EEG technology further reveals that in fact,there are significant physiological and psychological differences between villagers and students when watching stimuli.(4)For groups with low education level,Pinus thunbergii,Pinus massoniana and Camellia sasanqua are suitable for rural landscape construction,and tree species with obvious characteristics and bright colors are also highly recommended;For the group with undergraduate education or above,Yulania biondii,Cercis chinensis and Hibiscus mutabilis are recommended tree species,and the tree species with less prominent characteristics and simpler structure are more suitable for rural landscape construction.
