In recent years,the reform of vocational education is in the ascendant,and there is a practical need and significance to improve the quality of classroom teaching and professional development,and it is also important to promote such reform to adapt to our country’s industrial transformation and upgrading.Vocational education reform pays more attention to deepen the reform of classroom teaching mode and adopt new teaching methods to improve the level of education and teaching.As a popular new teaching method,PBL(Problem-based Learning)has been widely used in various subject areas and it perfectly meets the requirements of teaching reform in secondary vocational education.Therefore,this study is of great significance to explore the application of Problem-based Learning in the teaching of "Vegetable Production Technology" in secondary vocational schools.On the basis of referring to the relevant literature research nationally and internationally,this study listed the research background,application status,theoretical support and so on of the Problem-based Learning,aiming to lay a theoretical foundation for the application of the Problem-based Learning in the teaching of "Vegetable Production Technology" in secondary vocational schools.This study carried out teaching practice in Lanzhou M Vocational School,and the teaching application object was the 2019 horticultural technology students of Lanzhou M Vocational School.Through theoretical analysis of the application of Problem-based Learning in "Vegetable Production Technology" in secondary vocational schools,two teaching cases were selected for detailed introduction,and taking one of the cases,the implementation process of PBL in the teaching of "vegetable production technology" was described in detail in this study.Through three months of teaching practice and reflection,scientific statistical analysis of the collected data was conducted to understand the effects of application of Problem-based Learning in "Vegetable Production Technology" in secondary vocational schools.The data sources included the content of classroom evaluation forms,the content of interviews of teachers and students,and the information collected from the questionnaire.The results of this study showed that most students have high recognition,interest and acceptance for the application of Problem-based Learning in the course "Vegetable Production Technology".What’s more,the atmosphere in PBL classroom,the students’ willing for the participation in class and the students’ enthusiasm for learning have all been greatly improved.In addition,teacher-student activities were more closely related to student-student activities.In the end,the knowledge level and the comprehensive ability of students and have also been improved in certain degrees.The conclusions of this study are listed in the following: Problem-based Learning is suitable for the teaching of "Vegetable Production Technology" in secondary vocational schools;Problem-based Learning is able to improve the shortcomings of the traditional teaching method in the classroom teaching of "Vegetable Production Technology" in secondary vocational;Problem-based Learning can help to develop the knowledge level and comprehensive ability of students.This study provides a reference for teaching practice for secondary vocational teachers of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery,and has the great potential to contribute to the reform of classroom teaching in horticultural technology major of secondary vocational schools.
